A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I had tons of profile shots but the background is usually very distracting.

I think this fits the bill.

I think this fits the bill...

Yes, direct from the side, that is Profile.

Ha ! I was thinking of "Bike Parked In Middle of the Road" as a possible subject-category, but I though that other than me and Keith Krause, would not be many that would have such.

Have a LOT of profile shots to choose from. Thought I would choose one of the latest bike, that I ride the most...

Okay, I deleted my last entry post. I found a nice picture of my 850 and decided to give it a little love. This picture is on the Berlin Lake Causeway on route 224. The sun was just low enough to give it a golden hue.

The wife and I tried to set up the camera and get a quick shot, before most longer trips.
This was July 2013 heading out to meet up with some fellow motobricks for the weekend.
And of all the motorbikes I've owned, that was my all time favorite.

late afternoon, sun setting to the rear right. This used to be the local, now gone, lumber mill pond. It is now stocked yearly with trout.

I am glad to see the number of submissions, after being concerned that maybe folks didnt have any 'profile' pictures. SOme folks said they had many to chose from. SOme said they had only a small number to choose from. Others submitted pics that really arent profile, maybe they didnt have any to choose from, or maybe that is too much of a detail for them to notice.

I have always thought the profile shot is the most boring, mostly since cant see the four pipes, so I never took any that way. Let me tell you why I did then endeavor to get some profile shots of the bike.
Over a period of 5 years or so I had submitted pics of my 650G and then 850G and then 1100GK for the Bike Of THe Month, maybe a total of 4 submissions. I thought they were good pics, maybe from different perspective, high, low, maybe real up close so didnt include all the wheel. All from a forward angle view so see the four pipes. A couple times he made some comment about the pic not being what he was looking for. Then I thought "I should not be submitting pics/poses that I like, I should figure out what he he thinks is suitable." So I looked over pics in the gallery (this was 2015), and didnt take long to notice that most all the Bike Of The Month pics were direct side profile, bike filling most of frame, with a open uncluttered background. So that is what I did. Found an overcast day, found an interesting background, and posed bike for a direct profile, straight perpendicular front to back, and I even went to some effort to get it perpendicular top to bottom. And I took several pics of this pose just for purposes of submitting one to Bike Of The Month, and I took a few more that I posed more to my liking*, since it was such good lighting condition for pics that day. I did submit one of the profile shots to bike of the month. Anyway, that profile pic was choosen as Bike Of The Month (see link in signature line).

So, I think some of you guys (with close up profile shoots) should submit your above pics to Bike Of The Month.
