Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

When there are multiple pics that are really nice, I use how well it meets the category (category as stated) as a tiebreaker in my thought process.
Other tie breaker might be if the category-theme is the major element of the picture or just a minor element of the picture.

But, yah. This isn't a Nobel Prize.

Dave, I wasn't giving you or anyone a hard time. it's all for fun. Sometimes I go deep, too. Other times I see the 1 that does it for me. FWIW, yours was a very close second in my mind.

Tough one this week for sure. Have to go with Mr. Murdoch. Color and clarity hit everything just right. Great shot...

a lot of good images, but I'm going to vote for Stave Murdoch as well. I remember it from some time ago, and still dig it.

i gotta vote for mr. Burque73. the timing on that one with the deer and the bike in the middle of the lane and all. very cool.

I'll do a tally, not that any one HAS to......

SteveMurdock 7,
Redman & Rich & Eli & Burque 1 vote each.

COngrats Steve Murdock for a decisive win. What are you going to name as the subject-theme-category for us this week...?

PS: I will suggest that folks vote by somehow using the word "vote" and bye naming the persons forum name.
Would not have made a difference this week, but there were a couple comments and a couple votes that could have been missunderstood.

Thanks for the votes, Gents.
Something a bit different for this week. How about your favourite piece of riding gear.

We probably all have a helmet, jacket, pair of gloves or boots that fit just right. Racing leathers?
Maybe a backpack that has seen many miles.

Because i am still scrapping with Photobucket this pic will have to do for now.
I bought this t-shirt in 1983 at the Toronto Bike Show. Wish i still had the Kat.
Not surprisingly the shirt has shrunk.

............
Not surprisingly the shirt has shrunk.
As has my leather jacket from 1979. ANd then the same thing happend to the one from 1986. Seems like every winter itr shrunk some in the closet and was tighter in the spring. Maybe it was the lower humidity in the winter.

That Xelement mesh jacket I still wear, this was a couple of years ago and I took the pressure sprayer to it. The whole thing is a dirty tan now but it fits right and has pockets where I need them I have tried a couple of others but they don't cut it.

My bike is not in this picture, but this is the clothing I wore when I bought ddaniels' bike in February 2010 and rode it home, 500 miles, from Dayton OH to Spring City PA, 24 hours ahead of a blizzard. I think I was wearing seven layers.
