DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Voting for mr Burque73 this time. Cuz I've never seen anything like that flume before. mr. Kerrfunks picture of the stream coming down the hill is more the style around here.

I vote for Steve Murdoch this week. Great picture and I love the 1000e. Speaking of, anyone else notice the plethora of 1000e's this week? I count 5 Agemax, Steve Murdoch, Sandy, Eli, and myself. Way to go guys 👍

Tough crowd. I can?t do any better than the pic I submitted. Is this not about photography?
ill vote for Jedz...great shot and creative.

FWIW, yours was my favorite til Justin posted this morning. My wife liked yours best but she doesn?t get a vote. She said we really need to visit Vancouver Island.

I think that's cool that Justin was able to beat the buzzer and get a pic in this week. The buzzer being Dave's alarm clock, lol.

Going with Jedz and the Triumph in the mist.

Much to Trevor's chagrin, he only gets a 2nd place from me this week as I have to go with Jedz.

If you ever find yourself passing through Vancouver on the way, Rich82GS750TZ, give me a heads up and we can convoy to the Island.

Thank You. May take you up on that if/when we plan a whole PNW vacation.

..... ..... Dave's alarm clock, ... .... ....
.
seldom used anymore in last year and half.

By the way, I will not be available Saturday am to do a tally. And I have reason to think that neither will Bob baatfam.
So if anybody else is available, don?t be waiting for me to do it.

Had a little time in the motel room this morning, Dave.

I have one vote each for Trevor, Sandy, and Burque73
2 votes for Steve Murdoch
3 votes for Rich
And with 6 votes, Jedz123

If someone could confirm?

Yes, it is tricky trying to figure out what an audience will like. I get fooled all the time.
Something I've taken, something I believe is perfect, a picture I love, and yet no one feels quite the same way.

I believe it comes down to "the story" you are trying to tell.
Often I love a picture because I was there, and know the story.
Looking at it, makes me feel what I felt when I took it.
But is the photo telling the story as I remember it, or telling a story at all?

I often don't do a good job of telling the story, and viewers don't feel what I felt, if they feel anything at all.
So I try to look at my photos critically, forgetting what I remember, and look at what the photo is really saying.
Sometimes, it doesn't say anything at all, it just looks good.

What story is your photo telling?
