DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Ok...here is mine...please let me know if this qualifies as there is another bike with mine....

This was in Washington State a few years back...near Yakima...we hardly saw anyone that day...we were on a "bachelor" ride as to celebrate Rob (AZR) upcoming nuptials ...(except a Sheriff but that's another story...lol) the roads were fantastic!

Man, entries already, in just a couple hours.
And good ones they are.

"Another bike with mine"... yah, that still qualifies as "your bike" as far as the overall rules of the game goes. And even if it did not, there really isnt any procedure/mechanism for rejecting-dismissing-disqualifying a photo from submission.

As far as qualifying for subject-theme this week of "lonely road", yah, the picture shows a road. Now, whatever makes the road a "lonely road", and how well that is captured in the photo, that, that is the subjective portion of all this.
The determination of how much it is a "lonely road", and the determination of how much of an interesting picture are the same determinations each voter will make of all the pictures, based on whatever criteria the individual voter uses.

I have one of a nice road in Alabama, but my bike is not in it.

Likely no entry from me this week.

Sorry I didn't vote yesterday. I would have voted for Dorkburger. I love them Iron bridges... So, Lonely Roads, oh boy I'll see what I can come up with... Lonely roads, that's the story of my life! Lol

You know was funny? When I type D-o-r-k "Dorkburger" automatically comes up on word select.

Lonely Road submission. Summer 2017. Probably southeastern Ohio. Not too lonely, though, since I have a book with me...

This seems fun. Here's my entry. Hillside rd, just north of Baltimore.

Wow, looks like a record number of participants. Good to see lots of great photos. Taken mid September 2009 if I remember correctly. It's in south eastern Washington State. Basically a cool twisty road to nowhere. It took the long way over a small mountain range and was basically there to service the farming communities on either side. It was middle of their grain harvest and once back down to the valley bottom I'd meet the odd grain truck or combine. Excellent ride that day.

Southeast Washgington? Is that on my route for our "little ride"? :-k

Looks like we will basically be following US 12 from Lewiston, ID to Wallula, then south into Oregon.

Not exactly but close. This would be about an hour north of Lewiston, a town called Colfax, just north of Colfax there are 2 paved roads that connect you from #195 over to #27. IIRC correctly it's one of them. You'll discover very similar stuff with the route you're taking on #12 once you start heading south. Going to be a great trip Steve. I'm envious.

You are certainly welcome to join us for part of the trip. We won't be too far away Aug. 22-24, while in and around Glacier.

.

Thanks for the offer but at that time we're going to about as far away from that area as we can get. Heading up to Alaska by RV and probably be in or around Fairbanks or Denali NP at time.
