I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Pic of the week game

The art of diplomacy is a wonderful thing. :)

I think Dave had a much better answer in post #4558:
My observation is that THe rules-procedure do not specifically define the voting criteria. The rules-procedure just says something like "vote for favorite" or something like that.

Judging by the comments folks make when they make their vote:
I think some folks vote for which they think best meet the theme.
Some vote if there is something in the picture that they like (such as 'spoked wheels').
Some vote because something in the picture reminds them of something in their past.
SOme vote because they liked the accompanying story (even if there is no evidence of that in the picture).
SOme vote for what they consider to be the best composed-arranged-exposed-focused picture on an artistic basis, as long as it at least marginally meets the theme.
Other folks (including me) use a combination of how well it meets the theme and how interesting the photo is and how well composed-arranged-exposed-focused the picture is. In my experience there is usually two or three sometimes four that are great AND really meet the category. What I do, for a tie-breaker, is to think of how I would describe the photo, and how early in that description would I use the words that are the theme.
But again, the rules-procedure does not really specify this point.
And, Hey, this is a motorcycle forum...................

OK, hopefully we haven't seen the last of nuggetsdad and he's just off enjoying the warm riding weather on the bottom half of the planet.

Theme for this week is "moon shot", and I'm looking forward to some creative interpretations, keep it classy folks, or at least safe for work.

It will be interesting to see what people come up with. Unfortunately, my archives are bare for this one and the moon isn't exactly going to be very visible this week so I'm watching from the sidelines. And just when the weather finally warms up enough that I'll be able to get out even on Christmas Day :dancing:

Thanks for getting this going again, Rich. I was excited for nuggetsdad to have a go at setting the theme. Maybe he'll have an awesome shot of the moon and jump back in here.

Sorry if the theme doesn’t suit many. It’s hard to come up with original ideas that we haven’t covered in the last 2 years of the game, and for which I have a pic to play in my limited archives.

Having trouble logging into flikr, hope this is big enough to see.

Woah, yep. Kinda too big, sorry.

Sorry folks, have been offline flat out prior to Xmas. Thanks for the votes, a lovely surprise to get the win first time out.
Completely happy with the choice to drop me for next selection, sensible decision of course.
A quick description of the shot, was taken with my HTC phone in March 2016, at the Suzuki Katana Australia forum 35th anniversary celebrations, Albury weir Victoria.
We had a total of 55 (proper) Katana's with Popup's accepted as Kosher Kat's. It was fantastic walking through the camp ground before and after the event, with Katana's everywhere, what a weekend!

Thanks Pete for responce and for being so agreeable. Please do continue to participate.

impressive list of Suzukis there. Maybe we will see more of them in other pictures.

I am realizing that of the times I have been riding and have seen the moon, on none of those occasssions did I stop to get a picture. And that my own fault, not yours Rich.

looks like weather will be lot warmer (45 degF) than average (20-30).
Looking at the phase of the moon we are about 3 days from a “new moon” (meaning the opposite of full moon), and days between now and then will be something like 10%, 3%, 1%, then the 0% (new moon), then 1, 3, 10%. That was interesting to look into, as I had never known what “new moon” was, and had never seen those charts that list the percent every day (and rise time , set time, and what part of sky). So, has been a good experience e for that. Thanks

Will see if I can improvise something.

Same here...but I do have an idea...;)

I could probably do a moon shot picture, but I'm sure it wouldn't be pretty. Maybe I can get the GF to do a moon over my Yammy! Just asked. Nope, ain't gonna happen...

LOL. I've got an old slide from years ago that I called Four Moons Over Crater Lake. Good thing for everybody there's no motorcycle in the picture.
