A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I keep going back to the V-Strom from 650skull. Maybe the lighting, composition or just a beautiful bike. Well, two out of three aint bad, LOL.

I vote for Steve's CBX. Crop out most of the background so we can focus in on the big X - that's a lotta engine!

Marvin's GSX1100G because if I were to trade up that would be the model I'd want.

Kerfunk gets my vote.........Pic shows off the styling of the bike and the background, although is busy, works for me think the fence works with the bike...........

Good week.
Based on Number of entrys, and that 2/3rds of them in contention (in my opinion).
With so many deserving shots, the tie-breakers come down to minor details (of my opinion), like front wheel turned in odd/distracting direction or bike pointed in odd direction or bike leant toward viewer or contents of the background being distracting or distracting foreground or , (especailly for this category-theme) too much foreground or too much background.

Burque gets honorable mention for using DepthOfField (called something different these days) to blur out the distant background to keep interest on the bike, and for the bike being large part of the frame.

Voting for Kerrfunk for overall interesting photo with bike posed as main interest, and bike being well lit/exposed. Background is pleasing, but not too distracting.

Hey, Glen, sometime, maybe after voting complete, tell us... is that posed at waters edge so main background is water surface ... or is that on edge of a wall looking out into space...? sky? ...or what...? huh??

.

Gotta go with Kerrfunk. Blue sky, country road, perfectly framed. I wish I was there. Sandy's striking b&w was a strong runner up.
...

Tough crowd...I honestly thought I would get a sniff this week....but as it goes...beauty is in the eye of the beholder....sandy has my vote.
Cheers :)

Hey all, great shots and a tough one. Voting for Sandy with Burque just a whisker behind.

To add.. Eli, The Ugly is truly one of my favorite bikes on here. It just works. I still miss Steel Toed Tank and his similarly utilitarian 750t.
