Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Jay RedmanSIL found it funny that he had to give me a ride (his FJR) after I had left an accessorys on all night on my RT.
He also had fun exaggerating his adjusting the suspension, and loudly announcing "Passenger" and "Luggage" and "Extra Luggage".
His pic, me pointing at RT that needed to be on tender for something like about 8 hours.
That pic has my bike (RT that I had at the time) so that is the submission.

I first thought of this pic, of same occassion, but it doesnt include my bike.

Interesting Don.

I can somewhat imagine you finding a resteraunt with your name, kinda.
But tell us about it having a plate with the picture and name like that, and you having the plate, and you having it at your bike for the picture.

Does the resteraunt name of your name indicate any particular type of food??

Dave, to answer your questions there are a lot of restaurants named Don Pepe or Don Pepe's particularly in areas with a large Spanish speaking or Hispanic heritage population. In the U.S. that primarily means Mexican restaurants. That particular plate comes from a restaurant in Puerto Rico. In Spanish Pepe is a nickname for Joseph or Jose. And Don is a respectful title like Mister. So in English parlance the restaurant would be something like Mister Joe or Mister Joe's.

In my case though the heritage is Italian. My father's parents were both off the boat from Italy in the early 20th century. There it means pepper. But that does not keep me from getting a whole bunch of Hispanic targeted appeals here in Florida.

My wife said I should call the theme Ride Share. Interpret however you like. Ride Share.
I had a hard time picking a photo for this.
Not selected: me with my bike at an actual Park-n-Share off the interstate. I was out of gas.
Not selected: me with the guy I sold my first motorcycle to.
Not selected: me with my brother riding post for 200 miles in Alaska.

Selected: My mom, allowing me to take her for a three-mile spin, even though she was not excited about her boy buying a motorcycle.
