Pic of the week game

Originally I was going to go with this one, a pedestrian viaduct under the train line. However, if you read the sign, you have to walk your bike through the tunnel.

So I have decided to go federal. My Triumph parked on the sidewalk, in front of the door, to the Carol Stream, US Post Office.

Bob, you are forcing me to drag out some more old pictures. :-k

July 2006. The event was Wing Ding, the annual gathering for members of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Our reservations were at Embassy Suites, Nashville, Tennessee. Pulled up under the canopy to check in to the hotel and asked if there was a good place to park the bikes. The guy looked at them through the door and said "if you just point them closer to the door, they will be fine". So, that's where we parked for the night.

No, this is NOT a second attempt at an entry, it's just going along with your bike at the door of a public building.

.

Since there's apparently going to be nasty weather hanging around all week, I probably won't get out on the bike. So here's a shot I took for the riding game last week.

Hmmm... Still can't think of an "unusual" place for a good picture...

How bout in front of a psychiatrists office. Ever hear that saying before?

I can think of a few more and since it's already Thursday I'll throw them out there.
On a boat
In a basement
Hung from the ceiling
In a river

I've seen some pics like these posted in other threads so maybe not totally original, but fun...

I should have used these....lol...THIS IS NOT FOR THE GAME....
Rob and I a few years ago stayed in a sketchy town...brought the bikes in the motel room...lol

Doing maintenance

Beautiful view from the toilet...

Friday morning.
To review enrtries for "Bike In Unexpected Place".

"Bike In Unexpected Place".
Would expect to see bike on road, in parking lot, in driveway, in garage.
But am thinking about about bike in some place other than those sort of places.

Redman, I'll see your "bike on a sidewalk that is hidden by an inch of sand" and raise you about a hundred yards. :-k

I'm going to let the picture say it all. Getting fitted.

Dave, (Redman), I really appreciate you taking the time to sum up the entries for us.
Makes it so much easier to review all the photos at once.

And wow...14 entries. Another bunch of great photos, and a difficult decision.

Yes Dave, thanks for grouping the photos together like that.

I like these pics. Certainly some unique spots to find a bike, or several bikes... Voting for the bikes in the living room by Steve Murdoch this week.

Wow, its a tough call.... I know the bikes in the hotel aren't supposed to count but its a toss up between those and the bike in church.

Not tough at all for me. Charlie's shot is darn near transcendent, and gets my vote.
Loved Gustovh's gun shop pic as well. I was voting for that.... until I checked the site this morning.

Charlie, is this the interior of the former church you used a while back, the one whose lovely
craftsmanship / woodwork was mentioned?

My four finalists are:

Burgue73 - Car Wash - Excellent picture, bike is nicely framed by the machine and rollers. And it is very clean, also:D
steve mudock - Living room - Very nice picture, work in progress and all that. Nice sharp shot.
Gustovh - Gun shop - Yes, that is unusual, LOL. Again, nice picture.
Charlie G - In church - Very nicely done. Good composition and set up.

I was having a had time deciding, until I realized all the seats in Charlie G's church picture are facing the bike. HA!

My vote goes to Charlie G - Bike in church....

I got to go with Charlie G. Motorcycle in the church? I'm not sure how he got away with that! 👍
