A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Picture it in your mind......
A long tall bridge rising over a river. It starts at ground level and rises to 150 feet at the center then drops back down. Said bridge has a bike (bicycle) lane and is lined with gooseneck style streetlights. Now picture a bike at the top, under a streetlight in a panoramic view. On either side the bridge falls out of view, and in the background are twinkling lights on either side of the Raritan Bay.
That's what was in my mind. I rode there and it was a no go. The lights were way too dim, and it was an unsafe spot to work in (traffic).

With no plan B I rode into Perth Amboy of all places and got this, the equivalent of a teacher saying hand something in when one bombs at an assignment . I got some better lit shots at a train station, but they were visually boring....
Trevor, you picked a challenging topic. I thought about it a lot this week, and learned a bit. Thanks.

Trevor gets my vote this week. Makes want to ride that road. Thanks for the fun challenge. Dorkburger gets an honorable mention for pulling off a great shot at literally the 11th hour.

Dave, my garage pic (post 1641) was an entry...

Also to be clear, Dave (Redman)'s barn/quarter bike pic (in 1627) is not being submitted for votes, correct?

I vote for Roger Burque73.

Huh! I thought I clicked quote on that.
Sorry.
Have fixed it now.

Since your picture showed so much personal stuff, I wondered if we might see a "skeleton in the closet". Oh, wait, at your house that is on the front lawn.

Correct. Is Not.
Is my stupid haphazard exploratory experiment. Had I been trying for that result on purpose, then I might consider entering it.

I'm voting for Dorkburger as well. But I'm curious if that " dumpster " carpet in Kerry's garage is the real deal......

Do you know a way of checking?

I've collected a few of them in my travels but I'm not an expert. I'd look on the back to see if it is hand knotted for starters. You can look on line to see what that would look like. Then check the pattern with the various regions they are made.......Here's a little 2 minute video with some basics. But there's tons of stuff on line.

It was a toss-up for me between Sandy and Burque. The sky progressively darkening across the pic pushed me toward Burque, who gets my vote.

I'm going to have vote for Dorkburger just for the thought and creativity that went into it.

I give a vote to Roger Burque73, the contrast is what did it for me.
I've been extremely busy lately and hoping to get back into this as soon as possible.

Ill vote for Roger Burque. Really shows what it like all the way over there to all the way the other way, nice scene without having some of the oddities of a panogrpahic shot.

I was also impressed with Trevors and Dorkburger. And Kerry Kerfunk for trying this new thing just for the game.

Interesting how some other folks said about the same thing I did, in that, tried panographic (function of smartphone) a few years ago and not used it much since.
I, myself, really enjoyed trying it again, and coming to a better understanding of it all. And I thank Trevor for the prodding.

With so many interesting entries, I was expecting the voting to be more widespread (no pun intended).

My count this morning is:

Glen Dorkburger 5, Trevor 1, Roger Burque 6

I would welcome somebody to check my count.
(Note: the vote for "Roger" is Burque73.)
