If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Dave, I dig the dining car. A lot of those were manufactured here in NJ and shipped out. They have an interesting history and evolution
We have a very similar one in town.

Well, setting something up in the garage may not happen. It's clutter city, plus now a snowblower has been thrown into the mix.
I have a back up to use that I'll post later this week if I don't set something up....

I have the same issue...so I am thinking of those closeup, emblem/detail type shots....Maybe...LOL...

IMG_2447.jpgHere it is, when the going gets tough not just any bike will get the job done...??.

Ok Guys. I dug through my archives and pulled this one because it's seems more than just another nice photo of my GS1000. Obviously a little Photoshop massaging.

Man, I'm really on the fence now... I set up and made some pics in the garage tonight, but I also have a great overall shot of the bike I took over the summer - one of the best ones of it I have.... decisions, decisions.

LOL...I did the same thing last night, but didn't really get what I wanted. I've got 18 minutes till golden hour starts. Hoping to get something then.

Here is my entry for photo of the week. Kind of a cool picture of my 81 1100e. 🌞

Well this turned out to be more difficult than I imagined. Who the heck came with this theme????;):o

Anyway...here ya go...

Between jury duty and getting ready for Thanksgiving, I was pretty much limited to a close up, artistic type, in the garage/drive photo....
Tried at sundown, at night, and again at sunrise. 70+ photos...and not much...
But this one from this morning worked for me, with sunrise back lighting the bike...
It was not what I was looking for, and much like another recent picture, but the bokeh from this old Canon manual lens is just incredible.
(A 50mm on my M4/3 camera is equivalent to a 100mm on a full frame camera.)

Panasonic GX85, Canon FD 50mm @ f/2, 1/160, ISO 200

It was difficult for me as well, but I'm going with the picture from last night.
It was interesting and educational setting up the lights in such a way as to not cast distracting shadows or harsh highlights. Also, in the fashion of concept bike and some ad copy pics, I removed the distracting mirror. I also found that once a good lighting setup is found don't change it until you're absolutely sure you're finished. I tried to recreate one and could not.
I had three lights in play.

Not a very interesting or glamour shot but the best one i have of that bike.
I think the lake in the background offers a blue backdrop that sort of matches the striping on the tank.
I also think Salty Monk should use this pic as an advertisement on his dual disc upgrade. haha.

Very tidy and stunning original example of a GS1000 you have there. I'm envious.

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Lots of great pictures this week, so lets get started. If I missed anyone let me know.

Give us an interesting, artistic, or sales brochure shot. Think "Glamour Shot," or "Print Ad."
