A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Thats a old one......

This I took at my first gas stop on my retreat ride from Billings MT when the weather stopped me from reaching the GS gathering at Sandy's back in 2014. It was up in the mountains somewhere. The roads were clear of snow but it was way too brisk out for an old Florida boy to be riding. :(

This weeks theme has allowed a wide variety of interesting and unique images. Reflections everywhere. Good stuff guys.

Good Friday Morning! We've got 13 wonderful photos to vote on, so let's go!

First the theme from Justin (Jedz123)
Mirrors
Play with a reflection. It can be water, glass, mirror, heck even a great play with the heat reflection of pavement could work but there has to be a mirroring effect in the picture.

More to follow....

Good morning all,
Voting for Baatfam... no surprise, as I'm a fan of low light photogruaphy. Many a night I've seen similar reflections on the windscreen on my 1150, but never took a picture, let alone a nice one, of it though.

Tossup for me between Hayabuser and Trevor.
Trevor's pic reminds me of the trip I took to Alaska.
Hayabuser's is closer to home and conveys a hopefulness. I was imagining finding a puddle and setting up a pic like this.

My vote is for Hayabuser!

I vote for Gustovh Beautiful Nevada!

Side note: Has anyone heard from Charlie G lately? He hasn't posted in a while, I hope everything is okay.

Several pics that I like for different reasons.

Bob baatfam is a fine shot, and the reflection in the windscreen is clearly the main element. Is certainly one of the top ones in my mind.

And I like the mirror-view-from-the-bike shots. And I like the reflection in the puddle pics.

But I keep coming back to Glen Drk'bgr shot. THe reflections of the lights may not be the main element but certainly is a large part of the scene since he caught it on a night when the reflections were cooperating. Voting for Dorkburger mostly because the picture holds my interest the longest, and I will use that consideration as the tiebreaker in my deliberations.

>>Later note
If anybody is wondering: Yes, my pic is a capture of a refection as it occurred, is light as came thru the lens on one occasion, one shot. Is not any trickery with software and multiple images layered.
I have found if have the reflective (or partly reflective) surface in the shade and the scene behind me in bright sun, then the reflected image of the scene shows up better. (Same technique as used in my face-in-tank avatar pic.)
Next trick (which I didnt do too well here) is getting the focus on the reflected image and not the reflective surface.

I'm voting for Hayabuser's this week. I love the feeling of solitude and pleasure of a lonely back road and the pleasure of the ride. The reflection of the gorgeous red Triumph in the puddle just tops it off perfectly.
