Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Understood. No harsh words here. Maybe a good-natured ribbing from time to time. This is a happy place. If you ever figure out how to get pics off your phone, your're welcome to participate more than just commenting and voting. We need more photo submissions.

You Pick

inV7X0ll.jpg

I dont mean for you to pick some corn.
I mean, you pick some aspect, some element of this pic that gets your attention, and then you post a pic of something similar, maybe it is your bike in some sort of field of some kind, maybe your bike in between two rows of something, maybe your bike surrounded by taller things, maybe your bike parked in someplace would not expect to see a bike, or whatever else you see in my sample pic that gets your interest.
You can decide if you think you need to explain it or not.

(In some photo games/contest they call this "free association".)

free association. Looking at the converging of the corn on either side of your bike reminded me of this picture I took last week.

write 15 letters. Redman’s photo took me to the woods in back, where I am most at peace.

One from the back of the bike to where i am going soooo,................. I'm between where i have been and where i am going.

It's all good. All photos welcome, no matter the source, date, or method. We leave it up to the voters to decide. :)

Welcome back!

This one will take some explanation. This dusty intersection is a few short miles north of Clear Lake,Iowa. Those two white polls you see are part of the trailhead marker for the path between two corn fields that will take you to the spot where in the wee morning hours of February 3rd, 1959 the music died.

Here is a closer shot of the marker.

And here is the none too elaborate memorial at the other end of that path a quarter mile or so away.
