• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

The worst motorcycle I ever owned. 1996 Harley Davidson Road King.

It was my stepfather's, when he passed away it was given to me.
After replacing the battery and fixing the fuel lines I got it running.
I rode it around town for a month or two. It was so heavy and under powered it had trouble passing trucks on the highway!
When my friend said she didn't like it and the crash bars were digging into her leg. That's all I needed to hear, I put it up for sale.
My life as a "biker" was over... I was back to being a regular motorcyclists. 20190607_194143.jpg

Take your pick:
The Mullet, the knock-off Members' Only jacket, the acid washed jeans, the 3-wheeler with no rear suspension, the wheelie without a helmet, or the way my mom cut and framed this pic into a scrap-book. (Ignore the Scout, not part of this discussion). I was 14, it was 1985, and I had it all.:rolleyes: -

The apparition hovering above Steve’s bike looks a lot like a Double Crested Cardinal?

I have used this one before but I have nothing worse in my collection.

THis morning, part of the Worst Time Of The Year for Mo'cykl rider here in Michigan

RlWiWrI.jpg

Too cold and sloppy for mocykle ridin.
But yet just warm enough for snow to be wett and heavy. THis is all the further the snowthrower got before the discharge chutte clogged up like a snowcone machine.
Reverted to manual labor and shovel technology.

But speaking of mo'cykle ridinn: not any salt on roads - yet. So if do get a day with roads dry . . . . . .
ah, next week suppose to be single digit temps << h e a v y s i g h >> so that will NOT be when I try to get at least one ride in January.

Happy Friday, GSR!!
Let us review our photos and vote...
But first, the theme of the week by Burque73 (Roger)

The Worst

That should be all of them, but if anything is amiss, please let us know.

Don't forget to vote!!

Quite a variety of intersting photos.
I could vote for one of best pics of the worse, or one of the unique pics, but just due to my reaction to seeing the most worst of the worst , I gotta vote for Mr Don dpep worst situation. The photo really shows the worst situation, floating big stuff and mocykles.

although I will admit maybe my reaction to that pic remains from when first saw that pic (6-7 years ago) and thought maybe one of the bikes was a certain 1980 850G. And I recall Dons story of wading around pushing around a floating full size shipping container (dumpster?). Maybe not a valid reason for evaluating a winner in a photo contest, but, hey, this IS a mocykle forum, and is a fun game . . . .

The "Worst" is a pretty broad theme. For me the worst situation I see got to be dpep and his flood.

Dpep gets my vote too!
I'm sure when Don took that picture he wasn't thinking about winning a photo contest.
