Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

...
.......................................... I really enjoyed the contrast and look of Dave's.
BUT.......[/B]
(Assuming that is reference to mine), that effect is from the clear skys and the morning sun being pretty much directly behind me (not post processing manipulation), and me arranging things to avoid seeing too much of the bike's and my shadow. .

.

And there is a tie breaker for Mr Bob Baatfam.
Wow, Bob, that is local to you. At first I though I recognised it as being on TOD (across from Smokey Mtn Natl Park southern seasonal entrance), but on further looking I see its not.
Nicely arranged scene.

Really a bunch of great photos this week. Thanks everyone that played.

Voting for Bob (Battfam) , that road looks familiar, Devil's Triangle?

To answer both you and Dave, that is just a small section of TN61, not far from my home.
TN61 and TN144 are part of small loop I like to run when on a short ride.

Give me a few moments, and I'll be back with the theme....

With all the grey days lately, I have really been thinking about spring coming....A lot.
And that's about 6 weeks away, in my part of the world. The Dogwoods and Redbud trees will be blooming.

So our theme of the week is: Think Spring

What? Nobody has Daffodils yet? ;)
It doesn't have to be flowering trees...Just spring related.
Spring training, spring cleaning, spring gardening, spring bike maintenance, new fork springs, fresh water springs....and so on.:p

Haven't seen any Daffodils, but the Butter Cups are everywhere around here. Oohhh for one of those new kind of phone cameras.

Yes they are blooming here but it barely broke freezing today so getting the bike out is unlikely..........:-)

Vernonia Oregon..
I'm sorry for some reason I thought it was in California.
Charlie G is from California? Maybe that's what I was thinking about.

Just around the next corner... Until then thinking about warmer times on the yard rig.

The 8' weather today is not so nice. I did allot of work outside yesterday for about 8 hours and I'm still feeling it this morning. This is the last "cold" month of the year, heading to Florida in 3 weeks with the family for our first family vacation. That will be a nice time.
