If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Pic of the week game

Skull, you're ahead of me, I've never got a vote... But one of these days??? I still enjoy seeing all the pictures, winners, and Goose Eggs alike... All In Fun.

Doc who did my hernia surgery is legendary, I don't have a pic of him so you get one of me instead. Yesterday, he cleared me to ride, only 12 days post-surgery, Went for a short ride last night. Still a bit sore but better every day.

Here you see the Legendary Murray Kentucky Dairy Queen, one of only a few DQ's that still exist in the late 1940's configuration, no dine in, window service only. It also closes at the end of October and reopens on March 1st as it has for over 70 years.

Legondary: Buster Keaton

(to see my GK, look for reflection in window).
We went just to see the old silent movies with the organ being played by some expert of old movie accompnment.... we thought it was gonna just be a showing of a couple movies, but it was the International Buster Keaton Society Annaul Convention. . . . . . and it was quite an event with many people from all over that go to such old movie conventions, many of them dressed in costum of various caracters. And many of them seemed to know each other from having gone to such conventions for years.

Buster Keaton movies are interesting in that are early silent movies with no "specail effects" , actaully created stuff like building collapsing around him, or a ship sinking, or car crashing.

Why in Muskegon? He lived there as a kid and young adult, as was a resort area that lot of traveling vaudville familys stayed for the summer.
ANd the big old theater Downtown Muskegon was referbished, and still has an old organ. ANd there is this statue out on the street.

Convention - The International Buster Keaton Society

other part that some find intersting is that he was making these films pretty much on his own, then got contracts with the big movie makers,,,, and how things changed... and his personal life....

Friday Friday Friday!
The Thirteenth, no less! Maybe I shoulda thought about that for this week’s theme, but it is what it is.

First, the theme, inspired by my Triumph Legend, which earned me the week’s honors:
LEGENDARY. As you see fit.

And the submissions:

The most legendary of all. That's all I got

Legendary: Buster Keaton

Another Legendary? movie figure.
The Tin Man.

Alrightyroo, let’s get a-votin’
Whose submission best captures “legendary” in your estimation?

I’m voting for Burque73 again this week. My son just graduated Navy boot camp yesterday and he would barely let his mother hug him in public because they told him public displays of affection in his uniform were strictly prohibited. I brought up a photo of this exact moment and told him to give his mom a damn hug!

In the Suzuki world there is no bigger legend than Wes, well maybe Pops Yoshimura. Voting for Trevor.

Got'ta vote for Trevor, though it seems he's maybe got a little unfair advantage... Guess all is fair in love, war, and Picture of the Week Game. Congrats Trevor, hard to imagine your memories of that visit.

650 Skull gets my vote this week... When this "Photo Game" becomes a photo competition I'm done with it. Let's keep it fun.:)

I won't be doing my colorful commentary vote count tomorrow morning. (yeah, I know, the disappointment! haha) I'll be heading out early in the morning. I'm riding up to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario. I haven't visited since 2018 before all the covid hit the fan. The awesome Lancaster is calling me!
Plus, the ride up through western New York is amazing this time of year. The grapes from all the vineyards are ripe and are so fragrant!

For me it's a tossup between Tin Man and Sailor's Kiss,
and I have always described motorcycling as "it's like kissing for the first time, every time"
so the Kiss it is. Burque!
