Pic of the week game

I felt so bad about that mishap. It was my fault for riding like that...
But, Adam was riding really well. The road threw everyone for a curve. (No pun intended).
It was a long up hill straight. Then a left turn, a short straight into another left. I think everyone ran it wide. Adam just couldn't pull the big FJR into the turn.
Like I said, I really felt bad about the whole mishap...

I know you did, Norm, but if it's any consolation to you I think some good came from that experience. Honestly I'm glad he was with you guys to learn from. After gaining his composure, he got back on the bike and not only rode back to the Rosemont hotel, but 1500 miles back to Albuquerque. It took a year or so, but we found some new plastics the same color and put the FJR back together. it looked pretty darn close to perfect. Actually sold it not too long ago for $3k. Not bad for a first gen fjr with a few scrapes and 60k on the clock.

Ok...getting ready to cross one of the most famous bridges in the world with my buddies from BC...on our way to the Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Monterey.

This photo was at the I-94 bridge across the Missouri River between Bismarck and Mandan, North Dakota. A nice sunny summer day.

Could've been better, but was taken long ago not for this entry. Was just enjoying being out and riding!

Happy Friday, GSR! Let's review our photos and vote...

Redman's, (Dave's), theme this week was a little different, but fun.

In photo contest this is called Free Association.

So, This week, pick anything you see here

I think I got them all, but let us know if anything is amiss.

Some nice photos this week. Don't forget to vote.;)

Baatfam gets my vote this week!
Seems everyone took the bridge route.
Bob took the Green of Summer route. Nice!

Edit: Roger took the Old Wooden Structure route.

Edit again: Ron took the Group of Hooligans route.
I think Trevor could be thrown into the Group of Hooligans too!

Voting for storm 64 "bike on a bridge" this wk., His title says "bike on a bridge", though the bridge seems a little inconspicuous, heck I still can't see it.

Not that it matters, but if anybody wants to know, that is Justin RedmanSon on left, Cowboy Scott in back/center behind the bikes, and Rich82GS750TZ on the right.
Last year at BrownCounty rally, ride Friday morning.
Bean Blossum bridge I think, or somewhere up there NE of Bloomington.
I just now noticed that maybe Scot has camera up and looking to frame a pic (center of my pic a bit overexposed in trying to get more of the bridge internals better exposed).
. Ha! Scott's pic that maybe he took, could have been an entry this week.

Oh, shoot! I like Roger Burques photo, looking inline with the wood structure of the chute. I s'pose when he was framing the shot he did move to be inline with the chute.

Honarable mention for KiwiAlpha. Once I got over the shock of appearing to be on wrong side of road, I did enjoy the image of the contours/shapes of the bridge structure. ANd to think that caught that shot at the right moment - at that speed.

As far as riding at/thru and showing and featuring details of the old wooden beam structure, I'll vote for RichGS750TZ.

And.... I will gladly relenguish my title of "Mr Selfie" to Mr dgates. ha!

I feel like you've probably earned that title and I don't think I can fill those shoes. But we'll see what pics I continue post, maybe I'll give you a run for your money!

I'm voting for 1978GS750E because the first thing I saw was the McDonald's sign and now I want a Big Mac...

Burque for me, used those kind of chutes as a kid to load cattle, though that seems more sized for sheep.

Hey, then, maybe you have the expereince to comment on something I noticed about the chute in Roger Burques photo: Any significance to end there, where a truck would backup to it, being on about 45degree angle?
Maybe, so if the livestock go running up the ramp they have to slow down before going into the truck.
Maybe so the livestock approaching they cant see into the truck.
