• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I am starting to feel a little sorry for the guy who has to put the summation together later this week. ;);)

Ha!

I'll volenteer. If nobody does it bye time I am up and around. Might interfere with morning breakfast ride, but, for the good of all.

I'll do it if I get up early enough.
I'll try to go to bed early this Friday...

Last Friday night I was a pool shootin' fool till past midnight!

I don't think I would ever try to remove an engine by myself! I have seen a video of a guy and his two kids trying to get a motor out by laying it on it's side like that. Didn't go so well for them.

I have swapped (removed, installed) a V8 in my '68 Camaro and a VW Beetle engine, both single-handed. But I was 21 at the time, and had way too much energy. :applause:

Lol....I would take cleaning my hands any day over tipping my motorcycle on it's side....you must be joking?

To do oil changes, I used to park the bike over a storm drain, and make damn sure I never dropped the plug down there!

Back then littering was patriotic. :loyal:

Was supported by blocks and I was a "Noob", literally two days after I bought it. That's what makes it inappropriate!

I too, had to say "what is illeagle or unsafe or improper about that?"
"Oh, now I see, is parked in wrong direction, maybe some cop may find that to be a violation."

I guess I stop on remote bridges enough (to watch the water flow and see what else is to see), that I didnt concider it to be illeagle or unsafe.
But, maybe is not entirely lawfull. Maybe a little bit of a problem the 12 times a day a vehical comes along there.

Dave, at least half a dozen of those 12 vehicles would be horse-drawn buggies. There is a Mennonite school next to the bridge in the direction I’m looking. I took the pic a few years ago, but I seem to remember I was watching kids playing baseball in the schoolyard. Those kids love their baseball, and their ice hockey.

I thought the leaning over the railing was the dangerous and inappropriate part. From the looks of it, reasonably sure you were about to get a splatter of bird poop on the back of your head.
