A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Shout out to Brian (BWRINGER)

I recently purchased all the front and rear brake master cylinder piston kits and caliper seals from my local dealer in Cape Town, South Africa for my 1980 GS850G / GS1000G. However, I also needed the front master cylinder rubber diaphragm just under the lid, but it was NLA even from Suzuki Japan.

A Google search located two NOS items in Pennsylvania USA but the seller does not ship to South Africa. About 15 years ago Brian (bwringer) kindly shipped some Honda Moly 60 rear spline grease and oversize sump plugs to me that were unobtainable here in South Africa, so I reached out to him again for help.

I asked him if he would be prepared to purchase the items in Pennsylvania and have them shipped to him, and then obtain some more Honda Moly grease (now M77), and ship the items via international shipping to me again. Without hesitation, Brian immediately agreed and sent me regular updates on the progress. Yesterday he confirmed that he had all the items in hand and would ship them out to me today.

I reimbursed him for his costs via PayPal today and would like to send a shout-out to him for going to all the trouble in sourcing and shipping the items to me, despite a busy workload on his side. His actions reinforce the friendship and shared Suzuki passion across the global GSResources Forum community.

Thank you Brian!

Awesome collaboration. I've found that on this site as well. Found a hard to get little piece for my choke rail that was provided here by Tom (oldGSfan) with the help of Chuck Hahn.

Dang! Didn't expect to find a public shout-out when I logged in tonight.

You're very welcome, Ben. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes for the goodies to make it to your end of the planet.

When I mentioned that the passenger seat strap on my Suzi had broken, two replacements were sent to me by two different members, no charge. When I was working on my instrument panel, a member across the country sent me a box containing almost all the parts, again, no charge. I've tried to pay it forward.

I shipped some parts to south africa. The got pilfered by what I suspect was the postal service. I has happen to me just once out of four times but enough to be cautious.

Good that worked out for you!

Hi Brian, Christmas arrived for a second time for me today because the parcel arrived safely at my local post office today! After arriving at the airport in Johannesburg, South Africa on 20 November 2025 from USA via Switzerland in 5 days, it took our local postal services 2 months to transport the parcel 1 500 km to my local post office! However, they did inform me that the postal service was swamped with parcels during the festive season and to their credit, the parcel arrived safely!

Thank you again for your kind assistance and have a great 2026!

Great to know your goodies finally got there, Ben!

The tracking I could see sort of stopped when the package got to South Africa, so I'm glad they finally managed to get it to you.

And we b!+ch when Amazon takes 3 days to get us a package instead of 2. I think we're spoilt.

Es una iniciativa excelente para entrar en el mundo de las bodas y ganar experiencia real. Crear videos espontáneos y emotivos añade mucho valor para las parejas, tan útil y práctico como una c comisiones paypal al organizar el presupuesto.

Joined today from Islamabad. I didn't realize they spoke Spanish in Pakistan. :chuncky:

It is an excellent initiative to enter the world of weddings and gain real experience. Creating spontaneous and emotional videos adds a lot of value for couples, as useful and practical as a paypal commission when organizing the budget.
