slight vibration

ok currently i have the tins and plastics off the bike to be painted and something has bin poking at my mind since my last ride.

i had checked the valves and dipped the carbs last fall. the valves were on the tight end but still within spec so i left them alone. oil, gear oil, and final drive oil changed. gonna order new boots for the air box they are a bit hard. just synced the carbs. now ive been noticing more vibration for lack of a better description in my butt. i rode it last yr and i dont think it was that much.

Hi,

Next time you can try syncing your carbs at 2000 or 3000 rpm so that you get a smoother running engine at higher revs. If you sync them at idle then your idle will be smooth, but the higher revs may not be.

It's also possible that you have developed some leaks in your air intake and new boots could help. Remember to re-sync the carbs after repairing the air intake and swapping shims.

thanks cliff ya i forgot to mention new o-rings and intake boots the airbox has to be resealed that is for sure. i synced the carbs at about 2000 maybe i should try closer to 3000 with a good fan in front when i get the tins n such back.

i know i keep saying this but i am very very grateful for this forum! ive never been so excited about riding this bike!

lol another quick question when i rode it at about 3000ish and twisted the throttle it almost seemed like it was a rubber band. slight twist for a little more power was like the pull back and then held for a second than weeeeeeeeeee! is that normal? since its a heavy bike? at 6000+ quick throttle responce.
