Hey guys! I removed the instrument cluster on my '82 1100E to install what I thought was a burned-out bulb behind the speedometer face. Turns out, after I got to looking at it, it had a 140-mph face glued over a factory 85-mph face, so the light wasn't illuminating through. It was kind of blistering, so I carefully removed the overlaid 140 piece and now have an almost pristine 85 face.
The needle, however, was at about the 20-mph mark fully down. So, I readjusted it to zero. Now, it reads way slow. It only shows like 25 when I'm doing around 50, 35 at 70 etc.
Is there a way to calibrate this?
I'm sure it must have read correct at one point on the 85-mph face since that is the factory face.
Any help or information would be great!
Thanks guys.
