A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

It would be most appreciated if everyone who has hosted Stator look high and low for his original travel papers. Would be nice to have it to sign and to pass onto the next guy or gal. Thanks.

Steve said he had Stator's papers while I was his host. It was my understanding that Steve would update the papers and forward them on. Unfortunately I never saw them and the little guy left for Cowboy's place.

I'll text him and see if they can be sent out updated or not.

cool... would be nice to regroup everything again. tell him i think he has y address. if not have him pm me.

Or, get ahold of Cowboy. That stuff should have never been separated in the first place!!!

Go back to post #987 in this thread. That's the last mention of his book.

Haven't heard back from Steve. Sure hope all is well with him.

Any word from Steve? I sent Cowboy a private message. Maybe he can help track it down. That stuff should have never been separated in the first place...

As I have the time I am slowly working through the many sections of the forum.

This is a great thread and the story and pictures bring a smile to my face. Thanks everyone :)

Any word from Steve? It would sure be nice to get Stator's journal back. Cowboy told me this morning that Steve had "misplaced" and can not find Stator's journal. . Maybe true, but I think it's a bunch of BS... That journal has been around the world! It would be a shame if it got lost in southwest Ohio!

I don’t understand your issue here Norm. I asked him when Stator first arrived here after I spoke to Roger about it and both he and Bonita said they cleaned up for the remodeling they were doing and don’t remember where they put it. They also said they looked and couldn’t find it. I asked several more times over the year I had Stator and the answer was the same. Finally, I asked Steve to send the book directly to Chuck if he ever found it the same night I dropped Stator off at the post office.

None of us are in a position to demand anything from anyone. I cannot force Steve to produce something he cannot locate. As much as I wanted to read some of the stories from his travels, I resigned myself to the posts on this thread. The physical book was definitely nice to have but the real log should be here anyway.

Cowboy doesn't understand what my issue is? I'm done, good luck fellows.

A reality that happens to all of us is that mishaps occur, such as losing something we value, and we cannot reverse the loss.

From years ago I recall having a brand new pair of Raybans in my jacket pocket as I was riding on a highway.
Somehow the backdraft behind the windshield picked the case out of my pocket and for a fraction of a second I saw it hang in the air.....and then it was gone.

I think it comes under the "sh**" happens bracket. In hindsight we should have scanned the book along the way in case of loss but it's easy to say now! :)

We do still have the 1266 (and counting) posts in this thread dating from the beginning of his travels as a level of documentation fortunately.
.

I think most people who know Steve or have crossed paths with him know his character and SHOULD be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that he actually lost it and can't find it. What possible gain is there for him or Bonita to purposely hold onto it and deceive all the people he's gotten to know over the years and shared so much of his experience and knowledge? I am questioning the character of some of you people.

he isnt dead. in fact i was thinking now that winters here and shop lifes slowing down i should post that its about time he visit someone else. First taker to PM me an address is his next stop
