A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sunrise / Sunset Rides

SUNSET%20SUZUKI_zps04mtnbsq.jpg

Had to meet my wife at my in-laws' place last night. Took advantage of the weather and brought the bike out. Finally joining in on the Sunset thread!

Scooting around Campus today for we had POS initialization failures I had to address... Caught some awesome sights and a gorgeous fall sunrise.

(and a lake freighter in view)

.

Looks like another freighter's stack over the horizon.
Nice pic!
about 2/3rd the way from freighter to the pier....? I think that is a seagull with wings spread at an angle.....

I framed pic so it does not include where I about got stuck and about lost it in the sand to get to that sidewalk.
Nor did I include folks looking out the window of their camper/motorhomes at me at 7:40am wondering how some guy on motorcycle got in the campground.

Notice anything about the pier....?
(compare to post 92)

.
( .... no catwalk now )

In low 40s at night recently.

Pier sturcture under renovation. Closed to walking till mid summer. CAtwalk removed.
Army Corps ENg stated was going to remove catwalk as no longer needed. Community group raised funds to have the catwalk moved inland, refrebrished and then put back after the pier work is done.

Michigan City lighthouse has a similar raised catwalk, and maybe 20 years ago did the same thing. I read that on a plaque they have there.
Must have been miserable to sit out there on duty in winter, back in the olden days

Another Saturday morining ride to breakfast, before sunrize.
Stopped at a couple places looking for sunrize.
Heavy clouds and something of a purple sunrise.

Was guys fishing there. Scheesch, man, they must have gotten up early, to go stand along side of bayou under a bridge, just to go fishing, on a cold and threatning rain morning.

Another place.

Looking out over the river.

Was drizzle rainiy after breakfast.

20161031_182844.jpgTwo disclaimers: 1) this was not a ride.
2) it is a picture of a picture.
In 2001 when I bought this house I had to fix it up to even live in it. One night while I was working on it I went outside and witnessed probably the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen.
Sorry it has nothing to do with bikes but it is a sunset.

Beautiful pic! I don't mind that your bike isn't in the pic. What say you, Glen? Thanks for sharing.

Fine by me... i just revived Lurch's idea. I'm a keeper of no threads. Once a thread is posted, it belongs to the world...
My friend sent me this over the summer. He ocassionally razzes me with things like this.

A clear November day in Michigan, possibly a nice sunset.

doah... fussing with the panographic mode, and got the best color blocked by the trunk.

I still need to fully play with and figure out the panoramic setups on my phone.
My son and me saw an absolutely spectacular full double rainbow this summer and I didn't have time to get a panoramic shot due to my inexperience.
It had already lost a lot of it's vividness at this point.
