DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

ordered a 4-1 exhaust from mac 2 nights ago, said a week shipping, got it overnight, i am not complaining about that at all. was reading up on this exhaust and it is advertised as a 1 piece exhaust, so no welds right?(im not mad just wtf) first the headers and exhaust tip are two seperate pieces, which is normal its just a slip on and tighten down piece, the exhaust has a welded in baffle so i know thats not the 1 piece part, so im guessing its the headers, each header is welded in place. now maybe they welded over where it goes from the 4 to 1 part, but like what the heck mac first you dont wanna answer my calls and put me on voicemail, not automatically but somebody is doing it (different amounts of rings) but now u gonna advertise this as a 1 piece system and the things is like 6 different pieces welded together.

i am not mad about the exhaust, its a performance part and its what i bought, but how is the advertisement correct by any means? and what the heck is with putting me on voicemail i just have 1 question.

if im wrong about this then what does 1 piece exactly mean, that the headers are all one piece when you buy it?

edit: and some of these welds look like poop.

Ya'll are just talking different languages. They are talking 1 piece "header" is the four down pipes & the collector, 5 parts, after being welded together, becomes 1 part. If they advertised 1 piece exhaust system, it was probably a misprint from the secretary, doing the add. Some come with 4 separate down pipes & you need to slide them up in the collector. Actually comes with 5 separate parts. The rear part is the muffler, some co. probably has, but I've never seen, a 1 piece 4 into 1 complete system, that came with the muffler already welded to the header. As far as the phone calls, welcome to the real world!! Just be happy when that doesn't happen.

MAC exhaust are probably the lowest quality of the pipes on the market and priced accordingly.Their customer service is probably the same.
They are still probably alive because they still make exhaust for ''rare'' bike.

MAC stand for Make Another Choice.

Do not overtorque the flange at the head and make sure you have new gaskets.

It's been said many times here...I have said it too....DON'T BUY A MAC SYSTEM!!!

i already bought it bois. if i dont like it ill prob go back to stock or save up for the v&h. i wish there was more to choose from

just forgot there isnt a v&h being sold for my bike new so id have to find a used one with the baffle still in lol. im fine with the mac i got it for $100 less than the v&h and i didn't want stock because i want some noise

i have the cv carb tuning link thats the pink background so ill be learning to fine tune them when i can, if it runs fine with how its gonna be set up now then theres other things i could do for my bike first.

Not a lot of choices, when dealing with some of these old bikes. You've got to do what you've got to do. For what you've got, I'd not fool with the jetting till you know you need to. My opinion, stock jetting with the MAC pipe will be fine, as long as all else is stock. Stock air system, no mods.

just one up on the mains the baffle is 1 1/2 inches long measuring from one side to another on the circle. ill put it back to stock if it ends up working better.

Yep, MAC is the only choice available for a lot of bikes.

There was someone on this forum a few years ago who was in the process of reproducing the Bassani header for the 1100EZ with plans of other models after that. Anyone know what ever happened to him or what the outcome was?

I wanted to buy one but just lost track of the thread, life got in the way.
