So I have gotten alot farther along in my mounting of the 1150 fairing onto the GS.
All I have to do now is finish fabricating the mounts and get the fairing painted to match and hot damn.\\:D/
Coming along real easy and should be a huge improvement.
I know it will be in looks.

Sorry for the blurry shot.

If anyone wants to try the same, let me know and I will help as much as possible.
If you have the complete fairing and frames, everything mounts right onto the 83 frame.
The 82 has a different frame studs,so...

Cripes, a BLACK fairing on cool silver GS.... I give up. :)

It's actually kind of a Gun metal gray.
A transplant of skip's/Luke 1150.
Don't worry.
It's on it's way to the paint shop for matching silver metal flake paint.\\:D/ \\:D/

Real cool craig!
I've got an 1150 fairing on the way to throw on the 1000. I'm very interested in any little tricks you pulled. I think I'm going to have to fad up some mounts.

That looks awesome.

I'll get you some photos here on the mounts I made.
Really simple fabrication out of galvanized.
I may take the pieces to a metal shop and have them make something beefier for me.

Billyboy,

Do you have an eight inch headlight assembly coming with the 1150 fairing? I think it might look funny with the smaller 1000 headlight.

I think so. If not, my bike's got the 8 incher.

The headlight that is used with the 1150 fairing isn't the same as used with the headlight ears.
