Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Was gonna do something like Bob’s old and new bike, but I’ll do this instead.
Very old covered bridge. New-ish bike.

Here is something I staged.
A 1922 dollar compared to a 2017 dollar... Old New. 20240321_190448.jpg
Not what I had planned, but it's cold in northeast Ohio!

Friday Friday Friday!
And what kind of results will we have today? A runaway winner and a bunch of nothing burgers? Or will the votes be fairly evenly distributed? The anticipation is delicious.
First, the theme:
How about something OLD AND NEW - interpret the way you want but both must be in the picture.
And now the eleven submissions, sans explanation:

Alrighty, peeps, you know the drill, hop to it!

My vote goes out to REDMAN this week.

A interesting piece of information about my 1922 Silver Dollar... that was the same year Dave was born!!!

hahaha just kidding Dave, you're looking good!

I'm picking Redman, He's got a prime example, of old on one side, a prime example of new on the other side, plus a prime example of the middle in the middle, just for a kicker.

Vote for Rich. Motorcycles and wooden bridges belong together.

Voting kerrfunk because that picture of the half-sunken GS cracks me up, every time.

So many great takes on the theme this week...

Have to vote for Rich82GS because it is just an outstanding photo in a photo contest....

Thanks KF for this week's summation

All fun interseting pics. THat is what I like about this game.
Good idea for the theme/topic, THanks Scott. IT got a good variety of pics.

I like Bobs composition; New bike as in brand new current year and old bike.

Yah, I do enjoy Kerry Keerfunk's pic, yah, old bike has solid disc and VM carb and rust, compared to new bike with slotted disc and CV carbs and shinney. Yah like 45 years old compared to 42 years old.

Hey, Norm, am impressed with your studio posed pic, and your sharing of an interest of yours.
Oh, and, The old guy in my pic is 1952 vintage not 1922 har har har.

Grimley definitly has the largest span between old and new.

Steve Murdock pic: Ha! took me a while to notice the old verses new.... Ha! I can imagine looking thru pics, and then thinking, "hey, this will meet the topic."

Rich, pic... new bike and old, ah, um, old bridge.
I like the composition, and that thought to have such a picture. Interesting place to sit, enjoy the scene, and pose for pic.
Voting for Rich82
