How about showing off your "paintwork".
Something that you have painted or had painted for you.Could be bodywork, frame, brake parts, maybe even a helmet?

Bodywork for my '79 that i had done a ten? years ago. Still never mounted.:(
GS content with the S fairing.

It's gonna be red!

I'm definitely going to have to think outside of the box on this one for sure... As an artist, I am not...

Painted the entire bike with rattle can. Duplicate Pewter and flat black. The fenders had been "brightened" with steel wool all the way through the chrome, so taped off the edges for a little shine and painted them as well. Since I am cheap Charlie I "custom" made a couple side panels and you see the results.

As much painting that I have done for any mocykl

That little spot to left and below the flash glare. Is a little chip in paint that I touched up with little tube of touchup paint, that didnt match too well, and has since pretty much disspeared.
Ha
All I got.... unless I can think of something else.

When I bought this 85 700E it was this weird naked gold and blue.
I picked up a fairing from somebody here at GSR, and did my simple best to paint the fairing to match, plus I added a few identifying decals.

The finished product (this is my entry):

And the transformation collage (not my entry):

Team Dinosaur was an old joke from the from the late 90s between friends and was a two wheeled take on our Krappy Kar Kar Klub joke. I drew it up and it sat for a few years. That panel was the wrong color and damaged so no loss painting it. It looks even wore in person. For a few years I rode with no panels until I had a fit of nostalgia so they went back on.

Only motorcycle I ever painted, and it came out pretty good. This was taken in 2003 when I was selling it

This was the first time I used a true 2-part clear coat. Custom Decals I made in Photo shop and then had a company produce "Fazer 900" obviously isn't a real bike. Red and Gold paint work is all mine... This was the best job for paint I've done. the amount of hours in sanding and buffing alone brought me to the understanding and appreciation for professional painters. Orange peels are tough and runs just ruin lots of hard work... I had over 24 hours into the paint work.

Here is a stock image of the original paint job when I got the bike BUT it had a damaged tank cowl and side panel. I got a great deal on the bike so I decided to paint it after repairing and replacing the broken bits.
NOT THE ENTRY

Friday, Friday, Friday! That means it’s vote day, vote day, vote day!
First, of course, the theme:

And the entries:

Lots of good submissions, but there will be only one winner, and at least one of us will walk away, tail between legs, with nothing but the fixins for an omelet. Let the wild rumpus start!

I should have put up a picture of the Ugly with the purple tank (which i thought was a good idea at the time). Anyway, voting for Jedz.

I'll vote for Rich82GS750TZ and the less "glorious" parts of a paint job.

Maybe in a couple of weeks I'd have something for a theme like this. Just haven't done any painting on my bikes yet.

Voting for Gustovh. I just like the simplicity.

And here I thought I may be walking away with the only goose egg. Thanks, David. Now I'll have to figure out something else for breakfast tomorrow morning. Yes, not a glamour shot. I am fortunate to have a paint booth at work to do stuff like that.

Voting for Jedz123. I've seen that bike up close in my garage. Sure is purdy.
