A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

We have an open group of riders here in Perth called the Slackers. Those of us fortunate to be semi retired, just plain rich enough not to have to work, those that are "employment challenged", and some fly in fly out workers.
We get together at random and literally head for the hills above Perth to enjoy the twisty roads and a cafe lunch in one of the many restored timber town general stores. We do these mid week to avoid the tourists, traffic and the occasional police car. Most rides clock up 200 kilometres plus and we start off at one of the motorcycle theme coffee shops in North Perth,( Spadilles) and fuel up on coffee and bacon & egg sandwiches, breakfast of champions.
It's the first day of winter here in Australia, fortunately no snow but very crispy mornings of 0 degrees with ice on the car windows coming our way.
The Jarrahdale general store, famous for big burgers.

Couple of the lads tucking into a snack, hard work this riding.

fuel stop mid-way, some of us (no mentioning the Ducati's forgot to fill up before the ride)

Trying to determine what you guys are paying for petrol, is that $1.399 per litre? If so, that equates to around $5.28 per gallon here in the US. Quite high by comparison.

BTW, thanks for posting such good looking pics.

And what gets me is the price per barrel of oil has gone down, and the fuel companies are still charging 2013 prices. Western Australia get 75% from Singapore refineries, which set the southern hemisphere prices. We have a goverment "Fuel cost Watch", but they are as effective as a set of testicles on a snail.

Finally have both bikes running well. Took the wife and headed up Mt. Baker. We live right at the base of the mountain, so we did 70 miles round trip. She did great for her first mountain ride. Lots of compliments on the bikes. Not too shabby if I do say so myself, for a couple of 1980 machines:cool:

Nice looking bikes. Hey I'm wanting to do that road as well, is it open all the way to the top yet?

.......What Jedz said. What became of the one you crashed?

The other gs400 is in my basement in pieces. I'm going to rebuild it. Both bikes will be resprayed as well. I'm looking forward to it when I get the funds.

It sure is! Shoot a line if you head this way- love to meet other folks, and we live right along the way!

Will do. I've been wanting to do that ride for some time, thanks for the heads up.

So I finally decide to make the 45 mile trek to my Marble Falls office today on the ZRX. Marble Falls is a pretty little town tucked up in the hill country and runs along the Highland Lakes area. It's a beautiful hilly ride. It just sucks getting out of Austin, TX. But once you hit the hill country it's smooth sailing. I still have half a day left here then I trek back. It takes me an average of an hour to get out here due to the morning rush. Normally takes about 45 minutes because you hit Bee Caves on the way out as well.

There's a nice little park I like to go eat lunch at.

This little water way leads out to Lake Marble Falls. I parked at the boat launch and snapped a few pics.

The locals wondering, who's this freakin guy over here taking pictures.

Well... guess I forgot to get the bike in the picture, but I stopped by one of Dave's (Redman's) favorite picture taking spots

I went out for a ride last night. I ran into the Good Year Blimp at its Suffield Airship Hanger in Suffield, Ohio
