If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Wow!
Pretty spectacular scenery and the Kawi looks nice too,
what's the wet weight full of gas compared to the little TU bike?
I'm in the 650lbs area with bags and full tank of gas with the Connie. The Tu is 350lbs! It's pretty different, the TU is great for commuting; light, great maneuvering and economic. The Connie is a bear to move around but it's not impossible... Clearly we know which one takes to big miles better ;)

Great pics Jedz! Better get a new rear tire before the rain starts...
Yeah I got my 5th rear for the season in yesterday... I'll swap tomorrow likely. Stretching this one out a little too far HA!

Oh yeah. The stock exhaust is ridiculously heavy, header, cats, and muffler. My full racing ZX-14 system with carbon fiber muffler dropped a good 35lbs off the bike.

I've also taken out some redundant steel framing in the fairing. whole E-vap system W/canister has also been taken out.... Foam, plastics, other materials that just took up space in the body paneling.

I'm sure i gained some back with my stereo and Aux lighting but I would guess 650ish weight, it was noticeable right off the bat when I swapped out the exhaust. Bags off and the bike is a rocket.

Nice. I occasionally like to ride to a quiet spot, park the bike and just sit and contemlate life..... gives good perspective on things.

It really does, so long as the cops don't show up to ask what you are doing. It used to be you could do that in many places. Now, if it's not a posted parking area, it would seem someone will phone you in as a threat or potential threat right off.

Rode out for breakfast this morning, before sunrize, stopped here.
Got this picture so Adam LoudET not dissapointed.

Yeah, thats a possibility for sure. This pic was at the parking area for the tram that goes from the city to the top of the Sandia Mountains. Also a popular place just to look at the lights. Sure is nice and quiet up there.

I must admit, now I am getting weird....

On my ride today I saw the sloop "Clearwater". It is a 106 foot gaff rig sloop that was built in 1969 by the musician Pete Seeger. He and his wife had it built in South Bristol Maine for environmental research, education and advocacy to help preserve and protect the Hudson river.

Yeah Redman a little weird... But I must say your GK looks as one with the cattle.☺
Also, nice picture rkroby... I like your pics along the Hudson river

Lovely! I remember hearing about that sloop many times.

Stress relieving ride...
Late in the season when riding on borrowed warmth I usually take a relaxing ride and contemplate the passing of the summer. Not so tonight. I headed straight out of town, hit the highway and cruised a steady 80 Mph focusing me on the moment and forgetting the aggravation of the week.

All to take a picture of....
A molar..

Certainly a dumb goal, and not even in a nice area..... but fun.

And this. ..

These were outside of The Grounds For Sculpture, which I've heard from a few people is a really cool spot to visit.
The guitar player was "playing" for 3 equally huge couples dancing.

On the equally quick ride back the waning moon had risen and was nice to see...

I'm always amazed how a good description of an enjoyable ride can take me there in my minds eye. Thanks for the trip!

You'd think with that giant guitar guy (Mariachi) that you rode down to The Land Of Enchantment, aka New Mexico.

Yes it looks like the end of the warmer weather tomorrow. Also rain forecasted for the next few days so went out for a short ride this morning. Peak colors on our leaves now.

I was thinking that the tooth would have been a good riding game tag, but I had little interest in playing last night.

Riding on extended time around here. 200 mile day finding new roads between Maiden Rock and Durand Wi. Been nice all week and more to come. Were having a great fall.
