A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I'm back

I'm back again... I used to be on here pretty regularly years ago as "pete" with my 1982 GS450E and my 1984 Katana which I think made it to BOTM once too.

Still riding the GS450 to work every day and occasionally on the weekends, and the Katana vice versa.

That was until this week as the GS450 has decided not to have any spark intermittently... which is what reminded me the GS Resources still existed!

I've attached an action shot of the 450 last time it was out on the weekend, apparently there's a limit of one attachment per post!

Cheers guys! Nice to be back, not sure how many years I've been away for but good to see some familiar names still around as well. I'll post up a thread in the electrical/ignition forum about the spark issues too.

Sorry, can't say as I remember pete but no doubt, the more the merrier... WELCOME back

Cheers! I managed to find my original rebuild thread which started in 2010, so we were probably on here at the same time but I think I tended to stick to twin threads and so forth.

I logged on here late 2012 after I got rid of my first bike: 2000 GSXR750! lol

My mind does not remember you but I probably saw your build while I was getting familiar with my GS750T.

Seeya around!

I do recall your screen name actually now that I see it, another one that's hung around, good stuff! I've still seen the names Steve and Salty Monk among others which is great to see too!

I'll confess I've completely forgotten your first name but I most definitely remember cowboyup, glad to see you're still here too! Aside from the 450's spark issues all good down this way thanks and hope the same for you as well! From memory last time I was on your daughter was learning to ride? That was... quite a while ago!

Glad to see folks from when I first logged into GSR pop up here!

Salty Monk is a name to remember! lol

And of course, Steve the GS Whisperer!

I sent my carbs to him for rebuild and they came out beautiful!

Sadly, I have parked my "T" for some time but at some point will re-engage.

I browse here periodically...mostly on Off-Topic and the occasional interesting thread...like this one!

Glad you find this one interesting :D

Nessism is still around too and helping on my ignition thread, so good to see these folk still around!

Cheers Dan! You were actually in my mind the other week too... front brake parts on the 450 are now NLA and mine's gotten a little grabby so have been thinking about the good ol' Salty Monk upgrade again.

Yea that was a long time ago. She is now turning 28 next month and married with 2 rambunctious young kids - 4 yr old girl and 2 yr old boy

Scott

Cheers Pete, good to see ya back here. How's that Kit-Kat running? Been wondering how ya were doing. I assumed ya were too busy riding to check in.

Another name I remember, good to see you still here too! Kat's going well, currently on commuter duties until I sort the 450 out but it does make for a fun commute

Welcome back Pete.
I quite enjoyed your Kat resto and paint project from way back.

Glad that you're well and are still out and about on the GSs.
