DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Auction ends Sunday night. Bidding has been slow but 131 watchers. Admittedly a little more difficult with three bikes. Your buying pool goes down significantly. I have had at least 12-15 contact me asking there was BIN price. I never answer those questions during an auction, just tell them I will listen to offers (I have received one quality offer). I always figure they are just trying to get an idea of reserve. We'll see what happens the last couple of days.

What do you guys think the final bid will be for the lot?

Here's an example of what one similar to my titled "parts" bike sold for recently:

$7250. That's my guess

Well they won't be going anywhere if that is final bid. Already have an offer for substantially more than that so most likely will. Need to go for for good $$ Steve so I can buy your bikes!

Come on 120000

Those sure are interesting bikes, with a unique sound. Nice touch adding the video clips.

Good luck with the auction.

the blue one would be at least 10K in Oz. a ratty kat gets 4k. Kat speedos sell for 1k

Four hours left and reserve has been met. International bidder with perfect feedback. Hopefully it"ll get that final push at the end. Doesn't always happen but one can hope!:pray::):)

Up to $10k, and a few hours left. Go go go...

Damn ! Thats a nice stash. Dont remember you picking them up. What did you give for them ?

Not as much as I sold them for. :)

Looks like the ones I posted earlier this year up in Tennessee.

Yep same bikes and again thanks for posting. I think they were out of Georgia if I remember correctly.

Never did get that final minute bump but I'll take it!

That's why I keep posting them up here, for the "good guys" on this forum to make a few bucks here and there, classic example of when it "worked"! You can donate my finders fee to the site! :D

Just curious. How much did it really cost you for those bikes and how much profit did you really make? I mean, INCLUDING all of your time and the transportation costs of the bikes?
All parameters.
Would you do it again?

Where was the international buyer from Russ? There would be a tidy profit for somebody buying from over here I reckon and we seem to be getting loads of ex US bikes at the moment.

Well a gentleman never kisses and tells all the details. :) I'll say that I made between $1200-1500 after all is said and done. Would I do it again? Of course. I wish I would have made more on a cash outlay that big but that's part of the game. Sometimes you win (sometimes bigger than others), sometimes you lose (doesn't happen very often but it does happen), and sometimes you just break even. On this particular deal the winning bidder had a maximum bid of $12500. I just needed someone to bid against him. I had a guy contact me after and say that he just didn't wake up (auction ended at 4am his time) and if buyer didn't come through he could offer me $11K. I wish he would have gotten up!

Switzerland. The classic scene is so much bigger in Europe (especially UK) and the exchange rate definitely favors you guys right now.

Russ, I have a feeling you will think back on this one day and say
"I sold 3 of those for $10,000, what was I thinking?"

That seems like an awesome deal for the buyer, too bad you didn't get someone to push him a little.

Why didn't you sell them separately?

Oh I am sure that will happen at some point. Mostly I just wanted the garage space and figured if I could move them all in one shot then I would accept a little less. Plus I needed the capitol for the next deal.

I think the re5's will really start to move up quite a bit here in the next couple of years.
