A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

  • In order to help others find info on a particular bike, be sure to put the year, make or model of bike that you are asking a question about, in the Topic Title. This will allow people to pass by posts they have no interest in.

Name these Bikes

No doubt, the Goldwing, but that Suzuki??? "80", or "81" GS 750 or GS1100... No wait, the red... The GS1100's were red in "80", the GS750's were red in "81"... Ok either a "80" GS1100E or a "81" GS750E.... Dang the house, I'll take the shop!!! .

240k as is?! Holy cow, I’m definitely in the wrong state. That would get one a fixer upper here.

They are moving from a 5-acre Arkansas property that has a property tax of $60 a year. This one is $272. My .25 acre lot in the TwinCities is $4K.

Always amazing how different things are in different areas. 50 mi. east of me, property value's drop nearly 50%... I hadn't looked at the link, but yeah, $240K, for that???? from here surely a bargain.

That house, on a flat property, with no neighbors, in Connecticut, you'd be in the high $400'S to low $500'S easily, within 3 to 4 miles of Interstate 844.. You tax would be around $7K a year. If you are close to work, or are retired, either way, that's a real beauty of property and home. :)

Bizarro; did the occupiers get abducted by aliens?

Maybe........

No, actually the seller is a 80 year old guy from a small town just up river from where we grew up in MN (coincidence!). He used this property as a winter parking spot for a big motor coach. He is ready for a one way trip to FL and he cant take anything with him. So....it all goes with the house.

I am curious if selling everything raises, or lowers the price of a home. A lot of folks would welcome getting all the "stuff," but many would not.

Your Brother is doing the seller a huge service by accepting all that stuff! I hope he was compensated for it. House was on the market for 2+ years.....anything priced right over the past few years stayed on the market for 2 hours, I don't care where it is located.

However, 240k for a place to call home sure seems like a deal. Based on prices I am used to, if you buy a place to live for that kind of money you have to check the air in the tires.

I wish him well and hope he isn't in for years of surprises!

Sounds lie he was "compensated" ......"However, 240k for a place to call home sure seems like a deal...."...you seemed to have answered your own question. :)
