DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

near death and back

Last week working in the shop getting my Suzuki ready for a trip to Tuscon I got very dizzy and had to go to the house to sit down. After about 15 minutes of it getting worse I decided to call 911. I was so dizzy I couldn't push the buttons on the phone.I was thinking well this must be it for me and kind of resigned myself to death.Luckily my wife came home just then and saw me in distress and called 911. So off I went to the hospital for a blood clot removal in my brain. No side affects at all. That took care of my trip, but I'm still alive for a next years trip. Still want to do a run to AZ.I'll be 70 in Nov.Still have a lot of riding to do after PT is done.I'm close to God and I told him please not yet and my wife walked in just then.

A speedy and full recovery. Please keep us updated. I'll send you a private message with questions eventually because I have (am) a horse in that race. ;)

Hate to hear situation, Glad all seems well. You'll probably be in AZ. before they get the audits completed. Prayers to ya!!

Wow.
<Pearly Gates>
"Nah, he's early; throw him back."
Get some more riding time in, and keep well.

Lucky to still be here. This will make the next few rides have more meaning.

Speedy recovery to you and best wishes.

It's Tucson, but now that you are recovering, I'm sure you know that. Cheers, bud. Glad you're alive!

We old folk, you got another lease lucky dog.
Best 'O luck an don't waste it, sounds like you'll make every day count.
Blood clot came from someplace, hope you can effect that, reduce the chance of it happening again, or to your wife.
My neighbor died because she an her husband were too cool, waited overnight before seeking treatment, fatal.
She was in good shape, just had a stupid husband, the as hole survived, she died.
The blood clot formed after a fall on her elbow, went to her heart.

Thank goodness for your wife arriving in time. Best wishes for a smooth and full recovery. I'm also looking at 70 in Nov. and things can get real.

Tough old bird, you’ll be fine. It is amazing how fast it sneaks up on you though, one day your fine and the next….uuugh where did that come from.

Take care you lucky dog.

Had my stroke scare about 10 years ago. Sudden memory failure was the trigger for a visit to the ER, daughter drove me to the Er they had me in a bed in less than 2 minutes a couple minutes more and I was covered with sensors stuck to me.

In the end it wasn't a stoke but some weird thing called TGA but it turned out to be a lifesaver, tests revealed I had dangerously high blood pressure I was on track for a real stroke or a number of other fatal conditions.

I've been on blood thinners ever since and my BP is now what it should be for a healthy 20 yr old.

I feel for you. 7 weeks ago I had a massive heart attack and died twice, once for a full 15 minutes. I took my 1st bike ride since then a couple days ago, about 15 miles. Surviving was a lottery odds win, and I remember almost nothing. I did feel it coming on & took a couple aspirin before my wife drove me to the hospital. I spent 5 days on life support & it's over 350,000 dollars so far. Almost done, tho.
