    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

  • In order to help others find info on a particular bike, be sure to put the year, make or model of bike that you are asking a question about, in the Topic Title. This will allow people to pass by posts they have no interest in.

I'm selling my KLR. Is it appropriate to add it to this forum (given the guilty secret of some of our membership who also went to the KLR dark side...) or somewhere else or just keep my mouth shut... :D

I wanted to ask the question rather than make an assumption :)

Do whatever you want, some will appreciate it, some will condemn it, & probably most won't care, either way. Good luck with the sale.

I've posted a couple of non GS's here for sale. A V-Strom and a Bandit. Although they sold through my posts on ADV Rider. It's not a big deal at all. Post away and good luck with the sale!

saltymonk i think you've earned the right to post pretty much whatever....

Dude, just contact the administrator and request a new forum titled: Other Bikes for Sale.

Yeah, that might actually be a good call.. perhaps I'll hit Frank with a PM. I imagine there is a small demand & it could perhaps be policed with a minimum post limit so it doesn't get used by every Tom Dick & Harry. :)

theres needs to be change.....a REVOLUTION. lets post as many non gs bikes in the gs bikes for sale section till we get the change we need.

(jokes ofcourse but i dont think posting a non gs bike is a problem u might get some stubborn people saying this is meant for gs bikes only)

I PM'd Frank. He's thinking about it. The time taken to police a new forum section is the only stumbling block it seems. :)

Is this a manufacture(d) crisis? I have seen many non GS and non Suzuki bikes in the for sale thread and never thought anything about it, nor do I think they get removed or notoced by the autorities.

Yep, kind'f what he said, If it ain't borke, it don't fix'n. If it ever gets broke, or causes a problem, then fix it.

I don't see any point in adding another forum to maintain when this one is only lightly used.

Yep... I just wanted affirmation it was ok to stick it either here or in the proper Bikes for Sale section or not... no more than that :)

For sale 2012 Yamaha FJR

For sale 2012 Yamaha FJR

I'm in the process of selling my FJR. I have it posted on Craigslist, Youngstown Ohio. It has 56,000 miles of smiles on it. I'm asking $6,000 but that number is negotiable. If the motorcycle does not sell in the next week, I'm going to trade it in at the Yamaha dealership, depending on what they'll give me for it.
I have my eye on a new FJR, well it's a 2016 dealer leftover.

I would think as a site supporter, you may be granted a few more privileges than a non-site supporter. I may be wrong.

Non Suzuki bikes belong in this section. This section was specifically created for ANYTHING having to do with ANY non Suzuki bike. It is spelled out, in plain English, directly below the header.
That’s my opinion, and I’m sticking to it. Actually, that’s NOT opinion. It actually says that.
