A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Being a old Steel Town, Youngstown, Ohio has a lot of "Local Landmarks". I call this guy Iron Man. It's a big sculpture made out of scrap metal. It sits in front of a scrap yard. I'm not sure how long it's been there, but it's been there since I was a kid. When I drive by, I always say "I am Iron Man" in my best Ozzy voice. 🌞

Norm, good to see you get the Triumph out. I thought that thing was going to have a new home by now.

The Empress Hotel is a Victoria Landmark....my boy on my 750 probably 8 or so years ago

I still have the Triumph, no one wants to buy it. I was thinking about selling it and putting the money towards a sports car... Now I'm thinking about putting some sticky tires on it and maybe Track Day it... 👍

this is what remains of the old lumber mill that operated for about 50 years and just to the right of the path is the old log pond. Fish and wildlife stock it, but you wouldn't catch me eating anything caught there.

This week lets go with Local Landmarks.
I had a few to choose from. First thing that came to mind was the Pink Elephant in Barboursville WV, which is a landmark solely for the purpose of being a landmark. A few decades ago a business owner set it up to attract attention, and that's what it does.

I also thought of the Mothman, but I don't think that's the best photo I could come up with.

So I'm going with this roadside jet half a mile down the road from my townhouse.

Ha. Mothman is mentioned in Clutch's song Sleestack Lighting. The CD that's from has become my soundtrack of ny drive from Jersey to DC on the solo part of the trip.

Sandia mountains may be the most visible landmark in NM. They rise just shy of a mile above Albuquerque and can be seen within an area of around 11,000 square miles.

Apparently it is Friday?
And I never posted the photo I picked out days ago?
Egads....Retirement is so confusing....;)

Back in a few...

As a blues fan I have go with Dorkburger this week. Otherwise a lot of great shots as usual.
...

Yeah, the Dorkburger gets my vote too! Cool Blue. 😎
I like Rich's cabin picture... that's some pretty fancy gutter and downspout for 1836🤔
I agree with Eli69! 🌞

Lots of really nice submission this week. Burque73 gets my vote though. On top of that beautiful GS850, I'm a sucker for the southwest landscape.
