Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

After about 200 miles on the NYS Thruway (rt. 90). Rain finally starting to lighten up....

Third Pic is the Entry.

Tim twr1776 riding my GK from Indinapolus to his house (NW Indinia) in the rain to help get me home from 2019 BC Rally and my bike at least closer to home.
I took picture driving his truck, with my arm in sling and collar bone in three pieces.

ANd then later it started raining real hard.
Like about as hard as I have ever seen, and maybe harder than I have rode thru at any distance.
We stopped, checked weather radar and saw big huge red blob about as big as the state.
I was about to start asking locals if could leave the bike somewhere.
Tim says he can continue on and gets on rain gear.

So we continue on on state highways,
I felt bad, and humbled, Tim riding my bike, to help me get home and get bike at least lot closer to my home.

(THis pic is the entry)

THat dark figure ahead in the heavy rain is Tim on my GK. I took pic, while driving his truck, can see Tims GS in truck back window.

See, recently I have been using pics of this event, not because they are good pics, but because the event is so significant to me (weither pics show that or not). har har har

OK, wow I had issues doing this this morning. But I think I got 'em all. Doing the multi-quote thing is a lot easier when there aren't extra pictures that have to be edited out. Redman's entry is at the end. Vote Early, Vote Often:cool:

Theme by Norm - RAINY WEATHER.

A vote for Rich. Familiar story well framed.

Voting for Redman's, on the basis of Tim and Redman just getting on with it.

To me the pic has to transport me there and feel what the person is feeling....My vote is for Eli....I have been there...in the dark and in the rain and stopping for gas with lots of miles still to go....Baatfams is very nice and deserves a mention but I've seen the pic many times.

Lot of good submissions again. Too many honorable mentions to name.
I'm going with Glen's story. Voting for Dorkburger

Gotta vote for REDMAN.
What a great guy that Tim is. "Sure Dave, I'll ride you motorcycle in the rain to Michigan"!

Oh, thanks guys for the good turnout. I was questioning my Rainy weather theme. It seems we've all been caught in the rain at sometime or another.
