A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Can I vote although I forgot to submit?

I like Steve's Pic of the New river Gorge Bridge... It's really captures how tall it is... I think it's the coolest bridge on here.

Dave's Pic is really cool too.

... but had a rough week.
Tell me about it... I mean I did have 1 perk I bought a new bike (which I haven't actually seen yet in the flesh) however now I must wait for we are going to get smoked with yet another unseasonable weather pattern.
Work though... Has been horrid.
To pour some salt on the wounds Friday the 13th is in full force today. I'm still in my office crunching schedules that needed adjustment from requests from the hire ups...
Hope you have an awesome weekend!

I'm a sucker for old bridges. I've got some nice shots of some of the covered bridges in Oregon but that wasn't on a motorcycle trip. I'm voting for Dorkburger's old steel bridge.

.......

Yes, you can vote, and please do. Is not required to submit an entry to make a vote.

I, for one, do like to see various folks critiques of the photos.
But, If you do make comments about multiple entries, you will also need to specifically say "vote" or "select" something similar for one specific one.

Good subject for lots of good photos.

I think mine says "BRIDGE" the most.
But also has some confusing elements.
Seems like attention is diverted, scattered around --- ah, tracks ending into nothing, yah, that looks like a bridge there, but is a bridge with nothing going to either side, huh? what? bridge? what? tracks to where? huh? what? tracks? bridge??
But then again, that IS what is interesting about the photo.

DB iron bridge is interesting that can see the bridge and its iron construction and see the road beyond.

Covered bridges are always good.

Steves and Sandys would be close for "biggest, most impressive bridge".
Mrs Steve would be tops for "most annoying bridge surface to ride across".

Trevor has interesting use of panographic to show stream on both sides and the bridge itself.

Charlie has an interesting perspective looking over side of bridge so can see the of the stream below, and can see the bridge and road behind in the mirror (photographers are weird, eh?) (I have lots of mirror shots too.)

Bob baatfam pic is a peacefull bridge scene that I keep comming back to. Just the way it is posed, and seeing the road go over the bridge, and the unique bridge wall. A nice crisp photo.
(I too would stop and take a picture if I saw my name on the pavement.)

So my selection this week is the Bob Baatfam pic.

A little late to place my vote.

Looks like such a landslide, it would not make a difference either way, so carry on, Dave, let's see what ya got. :encouragement:

Reviewing lots of my pictures, and a lot of mine will be strange things like "bike out in a field next to cows" or "bike on end of dock out of water up in parking lot for the winter" har har har

So, looking for something with a scene-subject that is a bit more common, that other folks might have pics to contribute.

Lonely Road. Doesn't have to be a dirt road, just some place that looks like not much activity, but yet a road.
iJza37P.jpg

This about 60 miles north of here, when got lost, somewhat on purpose.
Rode around for half hour or so with no idea of where I was, before turning GPS back on in order to find my destination. (Flip City, a nation wide top ranked disc golf course).
Maybe I should have abandoned my destination, and continued riding around aimlessly, was fun.

Great pic and idea! :)

Love it. We have a lot of "lonely roads" here. Took this one on an early trip exploring my new location.
Don't remember the exact road name, but it is only 20-30 miles from my driveway.

Alright I think I'm decided...
Back road in Vermont somewhere in Lester and Whiting... Maybe Salisbury

Oooohhh, another bike picture game. I like this stuff and hadn't seen the thread before. So here's my entry for the vStrom 650 a few years back. I went on so many lonesome roads that I realized no one would find me for awhile if I dumped it! :p Like Jedz said, it's tough to settle on one.
