Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

My Vote is for dorkburger. I don't think I've ever used the word "serendipity" in conversation, ever. This photo is it. And his pic has everything else going for it: composition, exposure, point of view. This could have been a Suzuki print ad from 1985. Well done!

Rich, back at you. That?s my vote to his week. It was pretty much a toss up between Baatfam and Rich. I like the setup and though for both.

10 second exposure is impressive....

Hey, a real camera. Long exposure, must be tripod.

10 second exposure is impressive....

Dork, I read this just now and was like, "What?" Went back and checked the meta-data, and found I left out the "." - It was actually 1.0 second.

LOL....10 seconds would be fun, though...

OK...My vote goes for dorkburger this time. Very nice picture...

Rich82 gets my vote. The only thing that would make the picture better if it was a police car behind him. 👍

Such a gentlemanly group.
The most impressive image to me, because of its pleasing contrasts, colour balancing, composition, crispness and yes serendipity, belongs to Dorkburger and his ability to see it. Well done.

Tough call this week. Lot of great shots. Think I'm gonna go with Baatfam though, with Glen's a very close second...

gustov, your pic was in Dave's list, he didn't leave you out. but it just showed up as:

I'm pretty sure that's what happens when you post an image to your thread from your computer and it is now stored on thegsr, rather than a BBCode link to an image hosted by image hosting website: imgur, flickr, etc. Redman did not leave you out.

It was real hard to choose between Rich82 and Glen this week. His lite face in the helmet, an excellant stroke. A blue light over his shoulder would have been nice. I like the clear color crispness of Glens shot, with the matching store front canopy and of course the GS in the sign. Great! Dorkburger gets my vote this week.

I like the way Rich took a simple idea and decided to work with it with a very creative result. Rich gets my vote this week.....

Since mine was left the heck off the list, ....
.

My apologies. I did quote your posting, same as all the others, and it was/is there (5th or so on first posting, #1726), just that the pic showed up as a link-attachment. I have had that situation before with photos that were attached (not hosted elsewhere), and on all the other occasions (yours and Storm, mostly, I think) was able to fuss around with it and get it to display the image, but this time I tried 4 or 5 times (and then i had to be leaving).

I just now did get it to display the image on the second posting (#1727). Maybe since the first posting already have the ten image limit, maybe that was the problem.
