Pic of the week game

I almost took a pass this week. I have no good pictures of my bike in my hometown and when I go out I leave it as quickly as possible.
But we (the family) do like to spend the occasional summer evening at the beach, thought Asbury is not our default spot.

Sunrise at Asbury Park. In the last decade or so the town has gone thru quite a comeback, and is now a popular spot. Going into detail is not the realm of this thread, but interesting history reading.

Convention Hall is the building in the background .

Friday....Time to vote. Our theme, and this week's entries...
I like to see where people live. So this week's theme is " Where You Live " Lots of latitude here...
I like to go hang out at this beach in the summer...

Heading up Cadillac Mountain on Mount Desert Island, Maine.

This photo is taken 100 yards from my house,Plymouth UK.

....on top of the Malahat over looking the Pacific and across the water to where I live....

...about 4 miles west of my house. Lake Michigan.

The lights of Albuquerque...

...right up the road from me, in the "BIG" town of Toto...

I can ride out of my driveway and this is typical of what I see.

More to follow....

Burque73 for me, too. I'm hoping to get some riding in next week. Winter maintenance all done, she's running like a top with valves properly adjusted, new front brakes, fork seals and oil change. Looking forward to getting out and taking more pics.

Don't mind me pinging in this week. Voting for Battfam... He referenced my 33rd Birthday so, it was the icing I needed on top of that stunning pic of a stunning Triumph!!!

A lot of great submissions today. I could vote for half of them.

Bccap, the only thing I don?t like about your theme-setting entry is the trash can behind your bike. But then again, that is a good and necessary part of the scene, so I?m torn.
I love Agemax?s marine-side white 1000 profile and Redman?s white-capped Lake Michigan GK.
Burque73?s ABQ is terrific, the valley, the lights, the bike, the sign.
Gustovh, your antler-covered farm building really speaks to me about the theme ?where you live,? as does Baatfam?s Big Ridge State Park photo.

But I think it?s the sunrise in dorkburger?s Asbury Park picture that clinches it for me.

That?s my story, and I?m sticking to it.

Several excellent entries this week, I was torn but the fine shot by Dorkburger gets my vote this week.

Dorkburger for me too. I like the building the lighting and even the glint in the sprinklers on the lawn. Now I've got to google that park to find out what it's all about.......

Not quite a unanimous vote, but certainly a landslide. :-\\\

Burque's picture really brings back the memories. :-k

Waaayy back, when I wasn't quite as tall as I am now (57 years ago), we used to live just off the left side of the picture, on the same side of the river. I have been to the spot where the picture was taken, and could probably dig out a picture or three, but they didn't have a bike in them.

Memories count, so my vote is for Burque this week. :encouragement:

.

Saturday now.

Vote Tally.

I count:

Agemax 1, Burque 7, Baatfam 1, Dorkburger 5.

Someone can verify that, but I have Roger Burque73 being the one who has the high honor of choosing the next theme-category.

My observation is that there were many great pictures of something significant or special or at least somewhat interesting of the area.
And 2 or 3 pictures that showed the area.

Rogers was great for the overall scene, and the difficult exposure situation, and for being there at the right time with still some light in the sky and the lights of the city were on. Could really see the mountains around, and that the city is down there in a flat level area.

Let me say that I thought that Mr bccap's cityscape would have got more attention, as it showed the city where he lives, and the row of buildings were well illuminated and in a stark row.
I say this as a reminder to everyone that the sample picture provided by the person naming the subject-theme-category is also a submission.
