• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    Welcome!
Register to access the full functionality of the GSResources forum. Until you register and activate your account you will not have full forum access, nor will you be able to post or reply to messages.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I vote for dorkb......

What? Saturday already? Dang...

OK Glen....Whatcha got for us?:D

Good morning and thanks.
This week took me back in time a bit. That LTD was probably the perfect bike for me to start street riding on and I did enjoy it, but my real love for streetbikes / street riding began when I bought my brothers 83 GS 1100e. They are still among the short list my favorite bikes.

Rich's ATC picture had me thinking about the last time I rode one. Long after I sold my 250r, my brother bought one for cheap and got it running. One particular Sunday morning we stopped by. It had snowed about two inches the night before and it was quickly melting. I took it out for a rip around the field across the street. Before long the feeling, familiarity, and fiendish joy of the machine came back and I had it in 6th gear, wide open, back wheels broken loose on the snow / mud, and steering by subtle weight shifts to steer from the rear. It was a brief and wonderful visit to the glory days when we rode every Sunday. My brother watching from afar commented to his stepson "thats how one of those is supposed to be ridden"......

.... and enough with my memory laning.....

This week - under cover - as in your bike under..... something / anything. A Canopy, shady tree, cloudy sky, etc. A wide ranging subject.

I have been waiting for a chance to post this picture. A lot of you will laugh, mock me and call me a cheat but it is a genuine photo i took on my mobile phone. did not see anything untowards when i took the picture and it only became apparent when i uploaded it to my laptop. The garage where i keep my bike stored is about a mile from my house and is next to Radford lake. Here is a link to the White Lady of Radford http://hauntedplymouth.blogspot.com/2010/09/white-lady-road.html

She has good taste in bikes.......

That's a great package Agemax.
There appears to be a wistful longing showing in her penetrating gaze into the camera (and cameraman)?

Just for general reference, about this location, here are a couple more shots from that occasion.
Can see Williams (Covered) Bridge opening amungst the trees in background in the lower of these two shots.

How about "under the influence"? This is a nice friendly bar and grill down by the Ohio river. It's about a hour ride for me to get there. A perfect after work ride with good food and cold beer!

Ok how about me and Wes Cooley "under an eclipse" with my gs1000s? That's Wes's partner Melody sitting in the chair. :)
