A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well golly, whodathunk.

Mrs. Funk suggests "joyride" and I have to hand that one to her.
Theme for the week: JOYRIDE.

I took Stator out for a JOYRIDE. He kept asking me how fast will this motorcycle go? So I thought I'd show him! It turns out the little bugger loves to go fast! Needless to say, he had a smile on his face for a week!

Joy ride you say, this was at the end of a long day wrestling the KLR through the slop when it had the wrong tires for that sort of riding. I was smiling because I survived.

I forgot about this. Here's my son taking the GS for a joyride. He did really well on the KLR that day, so I figured he could handle the GS at slow speeds. We rode the neighborhoods and eventually back to the house..

My Ride-TheRT-Home-From-SanDiego trip June 2019.
THis was the first day, I think this was CA S22 outside of Borrego Springs.
That morning, as was departing, I said this is my last ride in Southern California and hadn't been to Borrengo Springs area yet, so pouuuiiieeeyy on the direct route. I made a last minute decision to go on state roads thru desert, rather than interstates toward LasVegas. I was happy and joyful that I did.

Mr Justin Jedz23, you need to go this way for your SanDiego trip.

Back in 2012 I took a 6 week 10,000 mile joy ride across the US to the Pacific Northwest and back via the Great Plains. This shot was taken along the Grand Tetons a little more than halfway through the joyfulness.

This map shows the joy ride (aka bucket list) route. The lower track was going out and the top one coming back. The little dots were stops overnight or longer. The red ones were planned destinations/visits; the yellowish ones were just motel stops for the night.
