• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Toss up for me between Sandy's monster ugly truck and dpep's monster ugly fairing, but as a convinced 'jammer guy I'm going for the fairing.
When I'm behind one I don't care what it looks like.

I was really happy that day to see you putting it through it's paces in John Day. Love seeing people's reactions when they ride it.
One time (at band camp)...Rob and I were in the US riding and we traded bikes, he was on his 78 gs1000e...anyway we were on our sena units talking and I encouraged him to "open it up"....lol...well it wasn't long before our connection was lost...he told me he hit 260kmph.... :)

He always was the hooligan. LOL.

Saturday! Vote tally day!

With one vote each, Baatfam and rkroby

With three votes each, Trevor and Burque73

And our winner, with five votes - Dpep and his ugly fairing...:)

(confirmation would be nice, thank you)

I'm seeing that Dpep has 4 votes, but still a winner. I'm looking forward to seeing what Don has for us this week
Correction, Dpep has 5 votes. Congratulations Don.

Thanks guys. How about for this week, "Give it the gas/petrol." That would be some sort of picture associated with a refueling stop.

Here is one taken on our small group's Cabot Trail ride way back in 2007.

When ride in remote fishing places like Bamfield (vancouver island) gas can only be found on the docks. :)

It doesnt really show well how bad the weather was. But a good stop, notice the coffee and coke bottle in the back.

Only gas station for miles, rolled in on reserve and found a note taped the window. On break, be back soon. Great! How long has that note been there?

GMR GSR

Great times and memories

Both Jim and Jack are no longer with us :frown:
