Pic of the week game

KiwiaAlfa156. For me.
Not the truest definition of birds eye view, compared to some of the others. The pic just grabs my eye.

Hum, fun pics.
More short list isnt short.

Ha, Norm and Bob's pic include something of the "bird".
Kerry Keerfunk's is definitly overhead, and, har har, we can see that he is the bird.

I'll vote for Roger Burque. I know what its like to pull off there at that place (i have been there, is recognizable, especailly since he had said before that he was out that way). Him climbing up that far really made for a picture, lots to see with the roads down there in vally, and hills in distance, and can see road some distance, all nicley exposed. And from that elevated view then dont have a lot of uninteresting stuff in foreground, every portion of the frame is interesting.
Nice all around scene for multiple reasons, especailly mocykle rideing related.

Hard this week, all good. Decided to vote for Kerrfunk, his resembles more of a drone's eye view, but others weren't from a birds eye either.

Well, I found that birds, in general, put up a pretty good fight when you try to stuff a camera, even a small one, into their skull. Screws with their flight characteristics as well. Some can barely get off the ground. So a drone would be the way to go to best capture the theme. ;):p:rolleyes:

I asked my wife to pick this week. She picked Kerrfunk.

Steve Murdock and the "BIG SIX" gets my vote.

I've seen plenty of side views front views but never a top view.
It shows just how big the CBX engine really is!

KiwiAlfa's color blind bird shot works for me. Honestly it looks like a pic from a surveillance satellite. In any case I like it.

THat a comment, or a vote??

Steve Murdoch's big 6 spoke to my motorhead but Bourque's spectacular canyon shot gets my vote this week..

As noted the steve murdoch pic of the big six really shows the massive engine. Also interesting is that the aftermarket exhaust is of similar proportion and width, and that Steve has another CBX in the garage. Personally I'd have cropped that out.

However I'm voting for Burke73. Nice composition showing the area. The bike is there, and it gives scale to the overall vastness of the scene. I'd imagine a small hike was involved in capturing that.

Yep, a small hike was involved, nothing too crazy though. I still had 330 miles to go and there was little daylight left.

Here's the spot. (If this works)

It's amusing to see so many different spellings of Burque. I think DB's "k" instead of the "qu" is probably the closest to how it sounds when spoken, rhymes with turkey.

Happy Saturday Morning, GSR! Let's tally up...

With one vote, dorkburger
With two votes, steve murdock, and kerrfunk
With three votes, Storm64, and KiwiAlfa156

And with four votes for the win, Burue73!

What's next, Roger??

Oh crap, um, I mean Cool! lol

Gonna grab some coffee and, as a friend says, noodle on this a bit, haha.

I'll be back in a bit.

Here we go.

BEFORE AND AFTER

This could be a flop or a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing what y'all come up with.
