A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Everything looks great, Joe!

Good thing your winters are warm so you can ride that thing this year. It will be done by then, right? :p

Geez I hope so..its been a damn marathon...as soon as I can get the forks back on and get it off the jack it should come together quickly..maybe.:p

What color is that you sprayed in the first and second pictures ? Looks like a perfect match for the painted part of my wheels. If not perfect, it's close enough for me.

Those all look nice man. Can't wait to see your bike all back together.:)

That granite color is Dupli-color engine enamel, got it at O'Reilly's Auto Parts store. The clear is VHT.

Starting to come together...still left, sync carbs, replace side cover bolts, install new petcock and sending unit, mirrors, grips, front signals..Im sure there is more, but here some pics together.

A credit to you and all your knowledge assisting in re-building those forks. Made things come together a lot quicker. Still have a list of things to do, going to try and sync the carbs tomorrow and install the new petcock and fuel sending unit. The tanks is not mounted in the photos.

My 1984 GS 750E is in good shape but doesn't even come close to yours man, well done!

Those bikes are so underestimated and ride so well. No wonder I have a silly grin on my face everytime I come back from a ride.

You'll be amazed at the difference from the the 1100 when you ride it... Dan :)

Thanks Jetta,

Yeah, the only thing that would have helped the feel of the ride a little more would have been to replace the monoshock, but I figured with 8400 miles on it the stocker still has some life in it.

Hey Dan,

Kudos on the Tarozzi fork stabilizer. Fit perfectly, I actually sanded it with some 600 grit and hit it with some Dupli-Color to go with the build.
