I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Postings to the For Sale and Wanted sections will be deleted 90 days after the initial posting date if there has been no activity to the thread in the last 7 days. This is done to eliminate dead posts from the forum.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Old thread was deleted, so starting new...

I've got several. As always, guaranteed to work correctly. I typically test these on my own bike.

Cost is $65 shipped in the CONTUS.

Wire it like shown below. For an adapter harness, Triumph PN T2500676 is cheap and high quality.

Thanks in advance.

Email sent... Sourcing and validating these regulators among all the BS and fakes out there is a valuable service. Thanks, Ed!

I have two of these from Ed, and they are fantastic - but quite large, which of course is solvable. On my '83 GS1100E, I mounted it where the CDI ignitor box was on the right side of the battery tray, moving the ignitor to the location where the original reg/rec was. On another bike, I have a 2-wire stator output. It works fine.

Hey Tom, this good info. As I understand it, 2-wire is a one-phase charging system. It's good to hear that the SH775 works with both three-phase and single-phase systems.

On the Laverda, I'm seeing 13.3 surface charge right after a ride, settling to 12.8 after a while. Now I can confidently ride with my (LED converted) headlight, which is great. It doesn't matter which terminals you use for the two wires, as far as I understand from Googling. I used the outer two for symmetry :p

One note -- the connectors for these things are getting mighty spendy what with all the various ructions out there in the wide world.

That Triumph wiring harness is $32 - $35 nowadays, plus shipping brings them to around $50+. You can get knockoffs much cheaper, but they all seem to ship from China via canoe with hefty added charges at the border, and although you can make them work, I've found that they don't fit nearly as well as genuine.

Buying the genuine Japanese parts or a pre-made harness from Eastern Beaver is mighty spendy as well; around $75 for a harness what with the added charges at the border.

I ordered an RM Stator connector kit with the connector shells, terminals, and seals ($30 shipped from the USA), and will report on its quality soon.

If I'm being honest, I used one of Ed's Nessulators in my old V-Strom for years just connected with 1/4" spade connectors and the cavities filled with electronics grade RTV (it's formulated to not corrode electrical connectors.) I coated the inside with a layer of vaseline so theoretically it will pop free easily if that's ever needed. I think that bike is now on its second owner after me with no electrical issues... That was born of impatience, not frugality, but at a handful of pennies for connectors and under $10 for the RTV, it's worth consideration.

Yes: I just went through that. I think that harness is about double the cost it was a couple of years ago. It is nice but gauge of wire is about 10 compared to maybe 16 gauge for the zuki harness. I have one spare setup for future but after that I'll wire my own.
