All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Just wanted to send out a reminder that if you want your rally listed on the homepage of The GSResources, please let me know. If you are looking to get more exposure for your event, be sure to email or DM the details to Frank (administrator). I will 'stick' your forum thread as well.

There is no longer a restriction to only annual rides. As long as your ride is a sure bet then I'll list it...

Please note that you may list all GS related events in the forum calendar.

    One final suggestion...
When creating a thread for a new ride, please continue to update the first article in the thread with the latest ride information. This saves people from having to wade through pages of posts for the updated information.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Planning on heading to the Farmington, MO area on May 15 thru May 18th. As is normal, will be staying at the Baymont Inn & Suites. Their phone # is 573-756-8031. Rooms there are normally in the $60 - $85 range.

And as usual nothing is pre-planned. Just show up and go ride! Although a trip to Hercules BBQ in Piedmont goes without sayin'!

Anyone else interested in riding some Missouri "alphabet" roads?

Innnnnnteresting, very very innnnnteresting.

I will very likely have a conflict with that filthy 4-letter word (you know, w--k) but I will put this on my May radar for serious consideration.

Reminder post! This will be here before you know it.

Those fantastic Missouri roads aren't going to ride themselves, ya know!

If any of you guys can extend your rally a day or two. I could get there Sunday afternoon. My vacation ride doesn't start till Saturday May 17th. We could ride Monday, then Tuesday I'd continue on... Something like that.

Oh Norm, you're talking our language there! Retired guys like to add a few extra days of riding whenever possible!

I would love to come on this ride but have family commitments that weekend. Hope y'all have a great time.

Reminder, it's just a month to go! Anyone interested in riding some "alphabet" roads in Missouri?

Well, another Missouri ride is in the books!

I met Larry at Hercules BBQ in Piedmont on Thursday and after a delicious lunch we headed back to Farmington to meet up with Neil. I totaled 220 miles on Thursday, Larry a few more than that!

The 3 of us left out Friday morning and headed to Bixby. We stopped at the Bixby Country Store, which opened in 1906, and took a break. While we were there a group of about 8-9 "Big Dog" riders showed up. Nice guys and we talked a while. As they were leaving, one of them noticed that his rear tire was flat! Of course, none of them had an air compressor! After loaning them my compressor they finally got that huge tire inflated.

After they left, Larry told me that the one with the flat tire was the owner of Big Dog motorcycles!

This pic is right before they arrived.

Then we headed to Eminence for lunch. Luckily, we were inside when a storm rolled through. Had to wait it out for about 1-1/2 hours, then headed back to Farmington on wet roads. Got in 240 miles for the day.

Notice the helmet. Makes a pretty good bucket, or so says Neil!

Of course, somebody has to be "that guy"!

On this trip it was me! Bike started running rough for the last 15-20 miles on Friday and on Saturday morning it was only running on 2 cylinders! Looks like a coil bit the dust, so sadly I loaded up and headed home. They got in another 220 miles without me on Saturday.

Can't wait to go back in September!
