A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Cybertruck

There's quite a few of them in my area. Funny thing is though I've never seen even one with so much as a pair of pliers being hauled in the bed.

Made me rethink previous post when I said something about a guy with one hauling stuff, He was pulling a trailer
I'll try to get a Pic of it someday, like I posted, this guy is a farmer or something and his cyber thing gets put to test.

Saw one up close last week too, honestly looks like someone folded it out of scrap metal. Wild design, no doubt. Elon was either feeling bold or sleep-deprived when he signed off on it.

That said, they’re built tough and turn heads, for better or worse. If you’re curious, check out some owner reviews, ride quality and tech are solid, just gotta live with the looks.

My impression of the cybertruck is that it seems to answer a lot of questions that nobody asked.

None of today's monstrously oversized pickups, EV or ICE, would be of interest to me. If I were a contractor or sub in the building trades, however, I might well be considering the F150 Lighning. Just being able to carry around your own electrical source for power tools when combined with lower maintenance costs and zero gas requirement would likely tip the scale for purchase.

Here is the electric pickup that does interest me currently. Won't be out for at least another year though.

I reserved a Slate on day one, not sure if that means I will get one of the first ones off the line, but I hope so! If I do, I will probably just drive it around town for a couple months and then dump it....Lol.

The ability to easily do your own customization is going to be a big selling point. I'm interested in how much hauling capacity it has and if it'll be able to tow something. Unlike most pickup owners my trucks have actually been used to move things.

The misrepresentation of a Ford being hauled backwards in a video let's you know it was designed for poseur douchebags.
saw one yesterday and one wrapped in black. Hideous Logan's run meets El Camino.

I see them here in New Jersey regularly, including one in a customer's garage. I can't recall seeing a single one actually doing truck stuff. As mentioned I've seen some wrapped for company advertising. I'd assume it's the business owner's way to write off an otherwise financially out of reach turd. I am impressed at how the massive side panels on them are so straight with no waviness from the manufacturing process.

I have seen dozens of them and every one of them had the back part closed. .

Other than the one in this photo I have never seen one being used as a truck, so I do not know what one would look like in truck configuration.

I suspect that most owners/renters want them just to be ego boosters.

In my younger days, at least 1/2 of the pick-ups, back then, would have cattle racks on them for hauling cattle...Can you imagine this thing with cattle racks and a bull up in the back? Should be a sure winner for worls'd funniest videos.

They look better wrapped… manufacturing those huge flat panels must be horrible! When you look up close the panels are always junk, wavy.. dents etc. :(
