A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
That's the pipe. And it's still just as loud. It's not shorter, the swingarm is longer. I was sure I was going to get a lecture at the minimum, but nope
There are Busa parts on there, let's see if you can find them. The Blue '83 has OEM black exhaust now.
Rearsets.. Everything else is Bandit. Pistons are Wiseco according to PO. One of the common problems upgrading the swingarm is rear brake linkage clearance. Best fix for me was just to move everything outside the frame rails. Few holes in a plate made the adapters, shift linkage hooked right up with minor rod length adjustment. But this is not a build thread. I will report back on the riding experience. Should be OK for riding the 3 miles to the drag strip. The rearsets are obviously Hayabusa, front calipers are the same Tokicos that the Gen1 bikes had too, along with the mastercylinder... can I guess that the pistons in the engine are also Heavy Bus parts?
Bike looks the business, I really like it. :encouragement:
Im typically not a big fan of the lunchbox bikes, but this one looks great.
I was able to take the 850 out for a spin today. I did the western Pennsylvania loop. It was warm with scattered thunderstorms. I didn't get hit with any rain, but I rode on some wet roads. I did a little off road riding but nothing to crazy... I love my 850☺
Sooooo,
You're riding an 850! Good on ya!

I'll Pass on the boots! They were legitimately disappointed I didn't buy 1 piece of Harley apparel when I got my Street-Rod.Sounds like you're enjoying the Harley 750 Street Rod Justin...You'll need a pair of these now...

I went out for an hour test ride on my daughter's new bike, a 2000 ZR-7. Fun, light bike with good ergos, handling and power for the streets, and a 250 mile tank range. It could use a 6th gear if doing a lot of 80 mph highway cruising. But it begs to hit the secondary roads. These bikes didn't get get good reviews when they first came out but I'd put it on a par with my SV650 for fun and capabilities, maybe quicker with more top end. The ZR-7 is smoother than my old GS850G and 100lbs lighter. You can't always trust the professional reviewers. It came with a new set of Metzler sneakers and a fly screen.

Blasted out another 100 wet miles; 50 on the TUX, 50 on the Connie....
This little 250 is an Awesome little DS rig... I plan on doing some more work to make it a tad more comfy for long distance runs. Nice to sneak up into dirt roads and find gem views like this...
Got back to the house and tagged team the Connie... Wet blast but the I came across these spectacular views and colors when the sun broke... This folks is what riding a motorcycle is all about.
