Bike weight,and distribution!

Finally got around to weighing my bike, I was pleasantly surprised, on total and distribution.
Now this is a custom, Ive taken things off, but I've also added things!
I've always thought it handled really well for its day, way nicer to ride than my 76 cb750f.
Better suspension,way better brakes,and the way it falls into turns is Great!
Total was 499lbs,with 249 front,250 rear. With a mostly full tank of Fuel!
No way of knowing what it would weigh stock, they didn't put a 1100 engine,swingarm,and front end on a 750 frame at the Factory! I bet it was in the high 5s though!

If you are referring to the window clutch cover, that actually weighs more than the stock cover!

OK, let's get a pic of Agemax's bike in here for discussion purposes.

Back to the topic. The CB900f weighs more than the GS1150, but it doesn't feel that way. I have ridden a '76 CB750, and it did feel portly, but most Hondas really seem to tuck their weight away once rolling. I didn't feel that way about the XS11, for instance. It felt piggish everywhere (though I still loved that porker). There is much to be said about balance and weight distribution in motorcycles.

Gorgeous! I'm moving away from resto-mods, back to enjoying period modifications as I begin bringing the decrepit 900 back to life, but your bike is rolling art.

Its currently laid up for the winter here in the UK. Undergoing some subtle upgrades and a good clean up.
New rear shock, adjustable ride height linkages, Hayabusa rear sets and a bit of engine work.

I'm looking into the possibility of getting a set of CB1100f wheels for mine. LoL, that's a whole year newer!
