    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

One of my regular haunts.

Geez! You guys need to move to a big city, and forget all about that 'space' and 'beauty.' I recommend Manhattan island.

Leonard road is a local road that is nice because it curves some to follow river and has a few elevation changes over little creeks and up/down valleys and such. Is where many of my roadside pics come from, but thinking about it, I dont recall specifically avoiding roadsigns nor specifically including road signs, and didnt find any pics with road signs.

One end of Leonard Road is about 4 miles away, and it somewhat follows the Grand River all the way to and into Grand Rapids. So if I have a an hour and half or so, I can ride most of the way to Grand Rapids and then back, and include Leonard Rd in the loop one way or the other, or both ways.

Did go on such a ride Monday (See "Go for ride").
I noticed that scenic intercections where I have gotten pics before, the road sign were away from the scenic view. So it wasnt that I had been avoiding them. I had to go to some effort to find a scenic view with a road sign.

Hoping that's an old pic, Glen?

That was in 2018 returning home from a trip. The I had shorted the turn signal many years before and that one broke. I was riding pretty quickly on the highway to outrun the rain. When we stopped for lunch the rain caught up and came down in buckets.

Good. It just looked like some minor damage/fairing rash from a recent spill that i hadn't heard about.

Not necessarily my favorite road, but more like a old friend.
The Rt224 causeway going over Berlin Lake.
It's a favorite place to pull over to stop and relax. 20231001_185606.jpg

Quite often, when I head out with no particular place to go, I find myself going down this road....
