A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I've come across a guy who evidently has the equipment to make Bassani exhausts. Haven't contacted him yet, but have been referred to him by two different guys who have been in the racing circles forever. Wanted to gauge potential interest from those on the site before I give the guy a call. Don't know if he'd even be willing to do it, but I figured if a decent group would be interested in purchasing (as long as it's cost prohibitive of course) it might make it worth his time and effort. If you're interested let me know.

Well hell. Called the guy and he's now too busy with a supercross team and doesn't have the time to make any exhausts. Crap. Sorry to get hopes up.

Im for SURE in for ONE. likely two if they're not crazy, and if they're cheap, I will take three (hey, they're small) :D

I'd like to see what they'd look like first. I've only seen them for v-twin cruisers on motorcycles. Nice quality, but I lived in Missouri for a while so - show me!

Fill me in

Fill me in

I know the name, but what is the deal with them?

My thoughts exactly...anyone have a pic of one?

Bassani made sweet, serious superbike pipes back in the '80s.
Smooth bends, large diameter collectors, no centerstand or oil-drain access.
Huge, barky baffles. AFAIK, all of them were Kal-Gard flat black finish.
Rare as hen's teeth these days.

I believe they are still in business, but focused on the V-8 performance market now.

Bassani exhausts were kown for quality and a great sound. Salty Monk has one on one of his bike I believe. From what I can tell we could probably get 10+ orders pretty easily. I'll give him a call around November.

How is the Kat project coming along?

Sounds like my Yoshi. I'm putting some satin black cedramic paint on it too.

Count me in for one also. I sure liked the Bassani I had on my S. I'd be curious to know if the guy still has the blue name tags. I always thought that was a nice touch.

I'm with you on the tag. I'm still kicking myself for not buying the one that came up on ebay a couple months ago. Saw it when it first got listed one evening and thought "Oh I'll buy it in the morning". Of course gone in the morning. Snooze you lose.

Joe the Kat project got bad news last night. I'll give you a call later and tell you about it. It's a cluster****. Let's just say the PO left part of a blue shop rag in the motor when he opened it up........:mad::mad: I'll right up a post about it later.

+1 if the cost is in line.

I'm running a stock exhaust on my Skunk for now but would'nt mind hearing a little rumble.
